Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Jodi Thomas’ Rewriting Monday is an irresistible blend of romance and suspense. In it, reporter Pepper Malone moves to Bailey, Texas, after a news story nearly gets her killed. Now she wants to be left alone to do her job in relative peace and quiet. But when the newspaper’s staff is targeted by a madman with a grudge against the media, Pepper is drawn back into the public eye—and into the arms of the paper’s handsome owner.

I love Jodi Thomas' writing style!

Where does Rewriting Monday rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my favorites but all of her books are! She takes you inside the heads of her characters and makes you feel like you are in the book with them.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I love her style and I am always on the edge to see what will happen next. I think this book is where the Harmony Series was born. I love that series and can't wait for the next book!

Which scene was your favorite?

To many to count. I find the bakery scene where all the towns people gather to try and help but just make things more complicated.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I don't think a movie could do this book justice. When they make books into movies you loose the heart of the story.

Any additional comments?

A great listen. I know I will listen to it again.

Not Enough Heat

This is a story that is tantamount to just telling a story. For me there wasn't enough build up of passion between the primary characters. The weird things that kept happening to people involved with the newspaper was in character with someone with a grudge, because they were escalating with increasing violence, that part was written well, and of course it wasn't hard to figure out who was causing all the mayhem. For some this book will be their cup of tea, but for me I like a lil more heat between the main characters and not something that seems forced for plot line purposes. The best part of the story in my opinion was the seniors who helped with the dog who had been shot.

Using two narrators was great. Ms. Parker is fantastic as a narrator and has done numerous books. (Sookie Stackhouse books for one series) and Mr. Sowers was new for me but did an excellent job.

Excellent story!

Such a good story, really kept my interest. I was surprised at the end and I had not guessed.
I especially really really like the narrator she has a perfect voice for this, there are others that have very nice voices, but I don’t know how to explain it, she has something special in the way she narrates. Thank you so much for having her. The narrator makes the book when it’s audible.
Jodi is such a good writer!
