Publisher's summary

For PI Franki Amato, New Orleans is anything but The Big Easy. Her best friend and employer has assigned her an unsettling investigation - the murder of a gorgeous cosmetics CEO at an allegedly haunted plantation. Adding to Franki’s stress, her meddling Sicilian nonna is planning her engagement even though her boyfriend, Bradley, hasn’t popped the question, and his new secretary seems determined to ensure a proposal never happens. As Bradley grows distant and the plantation grows dangerous, Franki turns to a psychic who is deathly afraid of ghosts. But her relationship is the least of her worries. She has to figure out what pink lip gloss, pirates, and a legendary diamond have to do with the bizarre homicide before she, too, drops dead like a Southern belle during a sweltering summer.

Everything Pink

this is a funny and cute book. I love the cozy mystery type books especially he paranormal ones. This one has some paranormal in it with the ghost. Franki is hired to find out who killed cosmetic CEO at a plantation manor where another woman was killed a hundred years ago. With looking for the suspect, a meddling grandmother, issues with her boyfriend, another mystery where money is disappearing from a teller at the bank her boyfriend works for, and the more murders at the manor. Come join in on the fun to see how all this works out. I received this book as a gift for an honest review.. I really enjoyed and look forward to future stories and going back to read book 1.

Loved this book

What does Madeline Mrozek bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love listening to Ms. Mrozek so anytime I see a book with her as the narrator its pretty much a guarantee I'm going to want to listen to the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was upsetting to think Bradley was cheating on Frankie. Loved the whole concept of the story and a psychic being afraid of ghosts, lol.

Any additional comments?

A plantation murder, ghosts & a sneaky secretary

When Franki Amato and Veronica Maggio are hired to Investigate the murder of a cosmetics CEO at a plantation, they never expected ghosts or other phenomenon entities coming into play. While Franki investigates the murder, she finds that her boyfriend's secretary is trying to move in on her man and ruin his career. Of course, she cannot let it go. I love how Traci normally has multiple cases going on, sometimes tied together but all usually getting Franki into some sort of trouble. These books, while murder mysteries have a lot of laugh out loud moments, Franki always manages to get herself into some sort of trouble during the investigations. Throw in the witchcraft and voodoo common to the New Orleans background as well as her overbearing, meddling Italian family, there is always fun and chaos. The narrator does a good job differentiating the different characters so you know when the person changes. Loving this series. Can't wait to see what else is in store for Franki and friends.

Book review for Prosecco pink

This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed the first one a lot and wanted to try the second. I am enjoying these books enough to go on for the third one! Frankie Amato is a fun character. The mysteries are intriguing. I like all the supporting characters including her Nona!

Franki does it again!

Traci Andrighetti has an awesome imagination. Not necessarily a badass, doesn't always have the answers, has an aggressive Italian family...these are a few of the reasons that I love Franki Amato. Franki gets a little jealous when her boyfriend starts spending time with his new sexy assistant at the bank. Who wouldn't! On the lookout for a killer and still keeping an eye on her boyfriend, Franki gets herself into more than one jam. Things are really looking bad for Franki, even her relationship with her best friend and coworker Veronica is being tested. This book takes you on a fun adventure in NOLA, a place I would love to visit. I can almost smell the alligator jerky while listening to Madeline Mrozek narrate. Madeline does a fantastic job separating characters, keeping a good rhythm and maintaining steady accents throughout the book.

I highly recommend this book!

Great cozy mystery with a wonderful narration

Franki is finally dating Bradley, but there is a dark cloud on the horizon: it seems Bradley’s secretary Pauline has dishonest intentions, and even though everyone tells Franki that she is paranoid, she will not give up and will watch both in hopes of keeping Bradley. While busy with these matters, the Private Chicks receive a new case, another murder mystery, and this time Franki will be leading the investigation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With book one I had some issues connecting to the characters, but this one was quite good. The mystery and setting Franki had to investigate were quite interesting, but the aside story about Bradley and his secretary was what really caught my attention. I found easier this time to connect to Franki and feel for her seeing the unfairness with which she was treated, and that second mystery was finally almost as interesting as the main one.

The characters are very well described, and the rhythm of the book was fluid. The dialogs and actions were quite natural, and really enjoyed the book from beginning to end.

Madeline Mrozek did a wonderful job again narrating this book. She gave different voices to all characters and interpreted them in a way that brought them to life. Her voice is clear and her audio production skills are also top notch. I am looking forward to more books narrated by Mrozek.

I highly recommend this series to any cozy mysteries fan. It is highly entertaining, has great characters, and a superb narration.

I received a copy of this book in audio format from the narrator in exchange for an honest review.

Perky and fun mystery

If you could sum up Prosecco Pink in three words, what would they be?

Light-weight mystery

Would you be willing to try another book from Traci Andrighetti? Why or why not?

Yes, can spin a tale quite well.

What does Madeline Mrozek bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Quirky, perky characterization that I wouldn't have voiced in my head.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Frankie getting in and out of trouble made me giggle.
