Pretenses is the story of Coco Nimburu - a fascinating, bloodthirsty assassin who will stop at nothing to kill her victims and artfully baffle the authorities. Enter Phoenix Perry: a tough, smart, and savvy FBI agent known to hold her own against even the most lethal of criminals. Phoenix is supposed to be working on a serial rapist case but is hand-picked by the president to find the identity of the assassin. Soon Phoenix finds that the two cases may be related - and that the culprit knows her every move.
fast paced and entertaining
narrator good performance
characters not developed enough. maybe there's a previous book
narrator's voice was so soothing that I often was lulled into a relax state and would miss portions of the story and has to relisten
if coco is on the train and then in the park, then how was she supposed to be Keith? for Phoenix to think that made no sense as she knew where coco was.
