Publisher's summary

A biological agent is stolen from a biocontainment lab. Weaponized, it could kill millions, and a desperate national hunt ensues to catch the terrorists before it is too late. Luke Stone, head of an elite FBI department, with his own family still in jeopardy, has vowed to walk away - but when the new president, barely sworn in, calls him, he can't turn his back on her.

Shocking devastation follows, winding its way all the way to the president, who finds her own family in jeopardy. Her strength tested as she steps into her new role, she surprises even her closest advisors. Rival presidential staff want Luke out of the picture, and with his team in danger, and left to his own resources, it becomes personal. But Luke Stone never gives up until he, or the terrorists, are dead.

Luke realizes quickly that the terrorist's final target is even more high value - and more terrifying - than even he could imagine. Yet with only a few days before doomsday, it's unlikely that even he can stop what's already in motion.

Oath of Office is a political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings, unexpected twists, and heart-pounding suspense.

Excellent!

What did you love best about Oath of Office?

Fast paced, edge of the seat thriller. Very plausible.

What other book might you compare Oath of Office to and why?

The author's style is that of the books penned by Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, or Tom Clancy. It's commands riveting attention to the storyline.

Which character – as performed by K.C. Kelly – was your favorite?

Luke Stone is believable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A white knuckler of a read.

Any additional comments?

Both of his books are very well done.

Good Book. Great Narrator.

Ok let's start with this. So many are trying to compare everyone's books to Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn. There will never be a replacement so comparing apples to apples is not fair to this author. I started at book 2 because it showed up as a suggested read. I enjoyed the book, I thought it was a little short but still it was good. The storyline was believable given all the other things we read and hear in this world. I think the narrator was great. Actually I think this narrator gave the best performance of any of the books I've listened to yet. So do yourself a favor. Understand that no two people write the same. I think you'll enjoy this book if you open your mind.

Constant action

This series with Stone is really pretty good. His character is a bit over the top successful, but we all need a larger than life character to make our days more exciting.
It's also nice to be able to read a military/suspense/espionage novel, where the author is good enough to lay out a believable plot without including the smutty and filthy language that some other authors feel compelled to include in their writings.
Thank you.
