Publisher's summary

The notorious Rattlers motorcycle club didn't have an official exit policy. So, Austin Conrad wrote his own when he decided to get the hell out. Now, he's the target of the MC's ruthless president, who's hellbent to silence Austin to keep his own dark secrets buried. Set along the back roads of Southern California's Mojave Desert, the story comes to its thrilling climax among the abandoned ghost town of Amboy. When Austin is waylaid by a crew of murderous thugs from a rogue faction of the club, the hunters become the hunted and learn the hard way that there's more to Austin than motorcycles and petty crime.

No Time to Bleed is the action-packed debut from author Dusty Sharp. This novella-length story provides a quick introduction to anti-hero Austin Conrad, and sets the stage for further adventure and mayhem.

Warning: contains violence, profanity, and irreverence in equal measure.

Good way to start the series

I received the audiobook free in exchange for an honest review.

I've never read/listened to Dusty Sharp's books before. This seems like it's a shorter story set in a larger series of books. You don't need to know anything about the other books in order to enjoy this book.

Austin is ex-military, and ex Motor Cycle Club member. This story is basically the story of him getting out of the motorcycle club. Very entertaining and interesting listen.

Dan Gallagher had a good voice for this narration. I'm not sure if I liked his tendency to pick up the pace of the narration at certain points of the story .... ie the action sections. I understand how that might increase the enjoyment of the story for some, but I really didn't need it.

Overall, very enjoyable.

exciting adventure

This story brings the reader alongside Austin Conrad. I could picture the raised eyebrow, and felt like ducking and dodging the motorcycle gang. My friend and I listened to the story in one session. We were laughing, exchanging wide eyed glances. It is a gem of imagination and quality writing. I highly recommend this novella.

Austin’s the man

Great short story with a big interesting future. I listened to this book all the way through when i meant to just listen to the first chapter. Action packed with realistic events in the OMG world. I love the way the author incorporates the history of the setting in which the story takes place. I look forward to the next book!!

The narrator did a fantastic job.

For fans of Sons of Anarchy

The work the author put into the loving and accurate sense of history and setting along Route 66 and surrounding areas are the best aspects of this novella. as far as story goes, I'll be honest, I'm not big on the whole SoA style motorcycle drama, it's just not my thing.
