Publisher's summary

It's not every day you see your childhood friend and one-time crush on national news. Jackie Sellers just wishes that it were under different circumstances. She can't believe that Ian Lockwood is wanted in connection with a terrorist plot, and she's determined to find him and help him clear his name. But she's not the only one looking. The FBI wants him captured. The bad guys want him dead. Ian just wants to stay alive long enough to save thousands of innocent lives.

Lynette Eason throws listeners right into the action from the very beginning, propelling them along a dangerous road and asking the provocative question of how far we'd be willing to go if we were up against a wall.

Douglas Sabattis

Good action right from the start. Development of story without giving to much away from the beginning. Jackie's struggled with feeling like she killed her husband because of craving for ice cream. The best reveals were Holly being her daughter and on evil side. The lady thinking Americans killed her husband and kids. But the best thing is explaining why bad things happen to Good people. It was tender but to the point. God has a plan but we always don't know what it's meaning is.

Books and performances continue to improve

The first Lynette Eason book that I listened to was difficult to listen to because of the narration. The narration is continuing to improve, and this particular book was great! Love the story and the narrator was excellent!

Definitely recommend

Between the good writing and the excellent narration, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve become a big fan of Lynette Eason’s writing and am working my way through all of her books. I love the twists in her stories and this story is no different. What makes her stories stand out so many others is that the twists bring unexpected turns when usually the reader already anticipates where and what will occur. This writing skill should continue to serve her well she hones her writing. I’m definitely watching for new books to be released.
Alyson Ryan’s narration was the best narrator that I’ve heard narrate any of Ms. Eason’s stories. She did an excellent job narrating by distinguishing different character’s voice from another’s. I appreciated this and it’s a high level skill in narrating.
A definite recommendation for listening to this book.

Great story

The reason I gave the story only 4 stars is because I spent 80% of the book wanting to smack Ian up the side of his head. The fact he wouldn't listen and whined just grated on my nerves.

On the upside I didn't guess who was behind it until the book revealed it. And the plot was fantastic!!!!

A great read.
