This book was ok.

I thought the narrator was great. I found a few scenes difficult to listen to. It was a lil heavy on the BDSM. Some Bdsm is good but sometimes I had a wtf? moment. I got the book for under $5 so it's worth that. I wouldn't give up a credit or pay full price though.

The Narrator Did It?

I think I would have liked this book better if the narrator hadn't yelled and overdramatized it. The mystery was well done, and I didn't guess the villain which I appreciated. It was only a relatively small part of the story. The S&M part of the story seemed good but listening was difficult because of the yelling and overdramatization. Stories on this topic don't need extra stimulation.

OK but misses the mark a little

So, I liked another story by this author, so I thought I'd try this one. It was OK. Lots of little problems with the plot and some things were just to fantastical to be believed. I also have listed to other narration by Maxine Mitchell, which I loved, but I did not like her narration for the main female character. Her voice / tone / style of speaking just is not good for Domme. I don't think Domme means bitch and that's just the way it sounded. The Domme in this story was not a mean person - the voice just was harsh and didn't match well. The other character narrations were ok. Overall, it was worth listening to. I'm not sorry I purchased it, but I won't ever re-read this one.

Would you consider the audio edition of Natural Law to be better than the print version?

I don't know if the audio edition is better than the print version. I won't choose another book read by this person.

What didn’t you like about Maxine Mitchell’s performance?

Maxine Mitchell's reading style is very jerky. She puts puts pauses in the oddest places and it makes it difficult to follow the story.

What was most disappointing about Joey W. Hill’s story?

I thought it was a murder mystery, it's 95% (redundant) erotica 5% murder.

How could the performance have been better?

The main male character is supposed to be a manly man but the female narrator's voice made him sound wimpy.

Could you see Natural Law being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Probably. A lesser version of 50 Shades.

slow start but fantastic finish

This series is a slow burn that seems to get better as it goes ...

FEMALE DOM

I went into this book thinking I would hate it. Deep BDSM books are not something I would ever go to day to day. Not that I have never read them, I just never can really get into them. I am in the most amazing book club and this one was a pick. This book I actually ended up liking a lot. This is a crime story on top of a BDSM love story.
My very favorite part about this book is that is with a female dom and a male sub, but not just any male sub a police officer semi alpha male sub. On meeting nothing about him screams sub. He is confident, and tough. On the outside he comes off super alpha.
This book goes into the emotions and reasoning behind the roles of dom/sub and why it is in their actual being. Chapter 11 is the chapter that really and truly did it for me in this book. This book is scorching flames, get the fire extinguisher levels of hotness. But the sex scene that transpires in Chapter 11 is a thing of powerful female dom bad$*&ness. It is so good.
By the end you are not just involved in this love story and you are 100% in the crime story, as well.
My only 2 things I didn't love was that sometimes the stories didn't overlap enough to make the stories flow and this book was just a little too long.
But I loved this exploration into this world. I loved getting to see BDSM from a different side too.

Why???

Why are the Dom and Domme characters in thiis series all a$$holes? There hasn't been a single sub who should not have walked out on them.

Hot and steamy story

The story was hot and well written. The narration was a little flat.
I loved the whole series ,This book could have been hotter with the right narrator
But this book is still worth the listen
