Enjoy this Cruise without the Dramamine.

Well Cruise Critics here is a great Audio book to enliven your next Cruise. The characters and setting may look familiar
but take it easy on the food and drinks.

Oh yeah it would be a good idea if you add Insurance before you make your final payment.

The Narrator is the Cruise entertainment director and helps the passengers have a good time especially if they skip a few meals.

Cruising still appeals to me!

I think the author did a great job with all of her descriptions in this book! This book is part mystery, part tour, some humor, and a whole lot of fun. Even though this was a cruise to die for, I still want to Cruise to Alaska. Ginger Walton did a fantastic performance with some of the characters in this book. I do not suggest dieting while listening to this book as some of the food descriptions were so good. This is the second book that I have listened to by the author and narrator and enjoy them immensely. I will definitely look for more by them in the future. I was provided with this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily written this review. What a hoot!

Off to Alaska!

cruise-ship, friendship

Despite a major shake up in staffing most of the ship's staff do a great job, except for a couple of really obnoxious characters who contrast severely with the passengers and the rest of the crew. The characters are all interesting and engaging even the negative ones, and the whole story is great for those of us who cannot do a cruise. It's pretty obvious that no business could afford such blatantly negative employees so that aspect of the book clearly defined it as fiction. Totally enjoyed the read.
Narrator Ginger Walton has a smooth and clear delivery.

Murder on Deck is a fun thriller aboard a ship

Murder on Deck is a fun thriller that takes place aboard a cruise ship. The opening scenes entice the listener to want to figure out what will happen next to the characters in the story. The book is written in a fun style, and the narrator does a great job in acting out the various characters involved. I liked the social aspects of the story the best and how the characters interact with one another makes the story line believable.
I received a free copy of Murder on Deck in exchange for my honest review. People who enjoy murder mysteries, True Crime, thrillers and whodunit will find this story engaging.

A cruise to die for

I am always looking for cozy mystery type stories. When i first started this story i was unsure about it. It seemed it was only about a cruise. However, the more i listened the more i liked. It was about Jerria and her husband and friends going on a cruise to Alaska where they met other people and had a lot of fun. Then people started getting sick and no one could figure out why. The two of the passengers died. Even the CDC was called in to investigate the mystery. Come on the cruise and find out what happens. I must say i enjoyed the book. I felt like i was on the cruise. I wanted to eat and shop too. Loved it. I would like to listen to more of these stories. I received this audio book free in exchange for a honest review.

Good Description for an Alaskan Cruise

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would have added a bit more excitement. This seemed like an Amsterdam cruise review.

If you’ve listened to books by Deb Graham before, how does this one compare?

No

What three words best describe Ginger Walton’s performance?

ok, passable, clear

Was Murder On Deck worth the listening time?

Yes, it was fun to listen to because I am a fan of cruising and I have been on an Alaskan cruise so I knew most of the ports they stopped at so that was fun.

Any additional comments?

Cruising Ahead

Great mystery of whodunit. I have not listened to book 1, however, book 2 was easy for me to follow and worked fine as a stand alone. I have been on several cruises and in fact, just booked an cruise for Alaska last month (nothing to do with this book) and the book was very accurate boat setup, drills, food, etc. I have never once been on a cruise where the staff was not friendly and did what they could to help the customer (after all the customer's do pay their salary). I was surprised to find out who the killer was and in my heart was a little disappointed, as I actually was fond of the character.

The narration was done by Ginger Walton and was distracted by the rustling of papers, fast speaking and no breaks at the end of sentences. I did however enjoy the intercom and liked the creativity

Another triump for Deb Graham!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, cruising information and a mystery all in one. It can't get any better than that.

What did you like best about this story?

Recalling an Alaskan cruise that I took.

Which character – as performed by Ginger Walton – was your favorite?

I could relate to Nan. From a warm climate and always cold in Alaska. I loved how she could feel the spirits around her in nature.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried when Nan did her Hawaiian dance and sang as a tribute for their dead friend. It was very touching.

A mystery on a cruise ship

This is book 2 in the Jerria Danson series, but it can certainly be enjoyed as a stand alone. Some of the characters from book 1 were back, and the author does a great job of providing enough detail to understand the relationships if you haven't had the chance to read the first book.

I really enjoyed the descriptions of the locations. For the places I've been, they were spot on, and I felt like I was right back there.

There was definitely more of a mystery with this book. I liked not knowing for certain who the culprit was until we got near the end of the story.
