Best Monk so far

This is my new favorite Monk Book.
Not only did the author do a fantastic job of capturing the "Monk essence" and keeping the story interesting but Angela Brazil does a perfect job of narrating. She matches her tone and inflections to the tv characters perfectly. One of the best narrations I've heard.

This is a must for Monk Fans.

Monk Strikes Again

I really enjoy the Mr Monk stories, they are always funny and a quick listen. I was slightly disappointed in this one due to the context of the story. I didn't expect there to be language in this book, and there was a great deal of it. There was also other very adult topics in this story, something I don't recall being in any of the other Monk stories I've listened to. I love the way Angela Brazil captures the voice of Natalie so well, I was just slightly disappointed in some of the content of this particular story.

Different as Night and Day

It great to have two people care so much about your well being.... except if your Monk. Then it's confusing. Nice play between Natalie to Sharona. Makes you listen non-stop. Good one.

OCD Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

OCD Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

Monk is at it again: solving crimes quickly by looking at the same evidence that everyone else has in front of them, but irritatingly OCD about it.

Angela Brazil delivers a clear and easy to listen to narration.

Worst of all the Monk Books by a long shot

The performance of this book is fine and on par with the others. I would prefer Monk books to either be 3rd person or Monk’s point of view, but one can get used to Natalie’s point of view in exchange for a good story/case. This story finds Natalie to be insufferable though. I could barely get through it. She’s so incredibly judgmental of Sharona that it takes away from her likability. It’s like all of her character flaws were just put on max volume. It’s not a fun banter like the actual episode where the two assistants meet. It’s like listening to or reading hours of a child whining and coming to the wrong conclusions. I read and reread other Monk books but this is the first one I’ve encountered that I will never revisit. It’s disappointing to see such loved and well written characters completely demolished in one story.

It should be called “Ms. Teeger”

This performance was great, no stars lost for that but, the book got so into the fact it is from Monk assistants point of view that it gets boring and ties murder with her life which is just sad at this point.

The Reason Shirona Left, Plus More!

While the Author uses far too many "I said, she said, Monk said"s, I overlooked them, even though I had to remind myself to do so once in a while, this is an excellent story. I wish this would have been one of the episodes made, because this is my favorite.
