Publisher's summary

John Moffat stars as the great Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in seven more BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisations.

'Evil Under the Sun': on holiday in Devon, Poirot becomes embroiled in the murder of a glamorous American starlet.

'Sad Cypress': a poison pen letter begins a chain of events which is to end in tragedy.

'Murder in Mesopotamia': when death occurs at an archaeological site in the Iraqi desert, Poirot is on hand to dig for clues.

'Lord Edgware Dies': Lord Edgware is found brutally stabbed, his wife the prime suspect. But did she murder him?

'Hallowe'en Party': the sleuth investigates the death of a girl drowned in an apple-bobbing tub on All Hallows' Eve.

'Murder on the Links': summoned urgently to France, Poirot finds his wealthy client dead. Can he trace the killer?

'Five Little Pigs': a bride-to-be hires Poirot to solve a 16-year-old case and prove her mother innocent of murder.

These BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisations find Poirot pitting his 'little grey cells' against a variety of cunning criminals. Based on Agatha Christie's original novels, these superb adaptations feature a host of distinguished actors including Iain Glen, Fiona Fullerton, Stephanie Cole and Stephen Tompkinson.

Absolutely Stunning

This drama version of these books was wonderfully done. I felt pulled deep into the stories and found them so intense sometimes I couldn't stop them until I'd heard all of the story. For anyone that is a avid reader of Agatha Christie will love this dramatization.

John Moffat Does It All

This is a striking example of a performance that “improves” the material on which it is based. Many listeners probably have their own favorite film/television/audio/theatrical interpretation of Poirot, but these BBC radio plays are first rate.

BBC thank you

I know everyone of these stories practically by heart ❤, but I bought it because I hadn't heard them for awhile. I was so impressed by the performances I know a few things might have been changed but the whole experience was like hearing it for the first time. Well done radio BBC or whomever does these recordings. I absolutely loved it. You must listen for yourselves.

Interesting and very entertaining

It was a singularly enjoyable book of detective fiction. The action was captivating and the actors so true to form.

Wonderfully entertaining

I was pleased when this new series of stories was realised after the first collection. Having listened to the first series so many times and still enjoying them, it was great to add more Poirot to my collection. Highly recommend. I love having the stories in the background for company whilst I work. Can’t wait for the third collection! Totally love John Moffat’s portrayal - big fan. More please!!

Moffat is just wonderful

Apart from the fact that Agatha Christie’s in itself is wonderful, John Moffat’s Poirot seems out of the world brilliant.

Another Great Series of Stories

As is usually the case, some stories are stronger than others, but overall a great listen!
