Publisher's summary

Best-selling author Ann B. Ross cooks up a batch of fun in this latest novel in her popular series.

With a crisp bite in the air, Miss Julia is enjoying a well-earned respite by her new fireplace. But autumn leaves aren’t the only things falling: James, Hazel Marie’s housekeeper, has had a nasty tumble down some stairs. How can Hazel Marie feed and take care of him - not to mention a husband and two babies - when she barely knows how to boil water?

Miss Julia jumps in to help by convincing the ladies of Abbotsville to put on their aprons and give cooking lessons. With success so close she can taste it, Miss Julia isn’t thrilled when an unexpected visitor shows up. Brother Vern Puckett, Hazel Marie’s no-good uncle, started life on the wrong foot and stayed there. What could he possibly want from his frazzled niece this time?

With a delightful helping of madcap antics, Miss Julia Stirs Up Trouble is a perfect next course in this charming series.

Love Miss Julia series!

I've listened to all of the Miss Julia series and am looking for the next one. They are funny and on this one, Stirs Up Trouble, I actually made the Ritz Cracker pie! Cynthia Darlow is the perfect narrator for these books.

entertaining and even use-able info.

Along with an entertaining story, it provides good observations into personal situations and actual useful information.

14 Books and STILL GOING STRONG!

Another WINNER for Ann B Ross. This book is another hilarious romp in the Miss Julia Series. I have liked every one and LOVED quite a few. The Character development is amazing. I feel like I know these people . It would be helpful to the listener to have read all the books but starting with this one will certainly wet your appetite for more.
Cynthia Darlow is one of my all time favorite narrators. How she changes her voice for the many characters is unbelievable.. I loved the voice for Granny Wiggens and Miss Mattie. She made them seem so endearing .If there were a 10 star rating I would give it to Cynthia Darlow!
This series is one of the few that keep your interested book after book. Much better than the Jan Karon Father Tim books which lost it punch after the 4th book.
Ann B Ross keeps you laughing out loud at the plots and antics of Miss Julia and Company. Eagerly waiting for the next installment.

I love Miss Julia

I started reading this series by pure accident. The library had nothing new and exciting on the shelves for audiobooks and I picked up the first Miss Julia book. Have been hooked ever since.

Hazel Marie needs to grow a backbone but I have thought that since book #2. She whines a bit too much for me.

Overall - it's an easy read with no language to mask for little ears. Can't wait for book 15.

Leave it to Ann B. Ross!

Leave it to this talented author to define her characters with the recipes they cook. What a great device to show loyal readers who these beloved characters really are!

I listen over and over!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ann, you got me this time! I usually buy your books from Audible and listen to them over and over. I love not only your stories, but "the icing on top" that your narrator, Cynthia Carlos adds. This time I also had to buy the Kindle format for the RECIPES!!! Thank you for many happy hours!

Always fun to listen to.

What I liked about the book was almost everything. Each character was featured in this book. Miss Julia is always having one adventure after another.
What I didn’t like is poor James, when he thought he won the lottery but lost his life savings of about $1,600. Loyd offered to pay for him to get all his savings back by using the inheritance he had. But Julia lied and said it was for his future and he could not get to it. He did do his part to work for the money he was a part of with James, loosing.
I don’t like the fact that Julia and her husband Sam are rolling in money, yet there housekeepers barely make ends meet.
