Publisher's summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

Professor Theo Cray caught one of the most prolific serial killers in history using revolutionary scientific methods. Cut off from university research because of the shroud of suspicion around him after the death of his former student and the aftermath of catching his quarry, Cray tries to rebuild his life but finds himself drawn into another unsolved case.

The desperate father of a missing child, ignored by the authorities and abandoned by his community, turns to Theo for help. The only clues are children’s drawings and an inner-city urban legend about someone called the Toy Man.

To unravel the mystery behind the Toy Man, Theo must set aside his scientific preconceptions and embrace a world where dreams and nightmares carry just as much weight as reality. As he becomes immersed in the case, he discovers a far-reaching conspiracy - one that hasn’t yet claimed its last victim.

Outstanding Story/Entertaining/ Talented Author

Excellent writing. This is my 2nd book by Andrew and I am very impressed. I love the in-depth insight into the characters and his poignant use of his background to make the puzzle unfold.

2nd best

This book is def 2nd best in the series. Not much happened, Prof. Cray didnt get beat up once, guess he needed a rest! It went by so quickly I cant even compare it to the first book, not much sticks out in my mind. Still a fun, ok read, ready for #3

A science geek's dream thriller

So this one was even better than the Naturalist to me. I'm a science geek and all the talk about DNA and the various experiments and processes made me excited. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Review Looking Glass

I like the way the author humanizes the main character. We’ve all had friends that are so intelligent that it’s hard to have a normal conversation. This character stops himself and drops to laymen’s conversation. Often, just in time. All the situations are believable, even the horrendous ones.
