Publisher's summary

Donovan Creed, former CIA assassin, is a smart-aleck tough guy who can't resist a noble cause. Despite a ton of baggage and a penchant for call girls, he always finds a way to beat the bad guys. In this sequel to Lethal People, Creed is forced to choose between his thriving contract-killer business, his part in the lethal experiment, and his desire to live a normal life with the beautiful Kathleen Gray and her newly-adopted daughter, Addie. Before that can happen, he has to take care of some lethal business involving a former lover. Lethal Experiment is a breezy and fun page-turner, featuring grisly humor, outrageous characters, and sexy dialogue.

Creed there is only one.

I am in the process of listening to this series again after a few years. Oddly, it is every bit as good as the first time, perhaps better.
John Locke is one of those writers who truly captures and brings to life the characters of his stories. be the situations be, sad, funny dire, humorous, or a compilation of many. Mister Locke makes them real.
Just as the characters and written story pull a reader in. So must the verbal rendition. Rich Orlow"s narrative does this his wide tonal ranges are amazing. Then of course his diction and dialects fit the characters seamlessly.
When one purchases book one then you must purchase book two. This book is of course book two. I feel it was money well spent.

The experiment works!

When I first discovered John Locke with his first book, Lethal People, I felt i had found a master storyteller for this genre. But I wasn't satisfied with just one book and had to go to Lethal Experiment immediately after. I find it amazing that Locke can continue to develop the Creed character in such surprising ways and keep the reader on edge constantly. I know there are four more books in the series and I'm sure I'll be reviewing them soon also. I thought I'd take a break after and read someone else but the disappointment was palpable; I couldn't wait to get back to Locke and did so immediately. I only hope he can write as fast as I can read!
