Publisher's summary

Jill Gardner - owner of Coffee, Books, and More - has somehow been talked into sponsoring a 5k race along the beautiful California coast. The race is a fundraiser for the local preservation society - but not everyone is feeling so charitable.

The day of the race, everyone hits the ground running...until a local business owner stumbles over a very stationary body. The deceased is the vicious wife of the husband-and-wife team hired to promote the event - and the husband turns to Jill for help in clearing his name. But did he do it?

Another good one.

I liked this book mainly because of the house. The narrator is wonderful. I like most of the characters but can't stand Lily!

Not my favorite, but a good story

I have to say, I'm getting irritated with Jill never telling Greg what she's doing. At first, I kind of felt like it was a Nancy Drew vibe, but the more she goes on and lies to him, the more that bothers me - Nancy always dragged Ned into her shenanigans. And her aunt was very crotchety in this one. I've already bought the rest of the series, so I'll probably go ahead and listen to them, but I hope I see some growth in her character.

Fun Cozy Mystery Series

Delightful series! Aunt Jackie, who I love, is a little more grouchy in this book as she looks at her mortality but there are still laughs along the way. I did not see the ending coming until I was ¾ of the way through the book.

Love this series!

Not the best of the bunch, but still an enjoyable read. Wow... for such a small town, South Cove sure has a lot of murders. Wink.

Great Characters and situations!

I really enjoy the way Jill,Aunt Jackie, all of their friends and Greg interact with each other in a little more mature way which speaks to me. Love Emma too, and the South Cove setting!

Great read

Loving this whodunnit book and the author. The narrator is awesome as well. Lynn Cahoon is definitely on a roll and I look forward to the next one in the series.

Worth the listen

Any additional comments?

I enjoy all the books in this series. This one started out a little slower but it was still worth listening to it.

A Run For the Wall

Jill Gardener is excited that she and Greg are ready to go on an Alaskan cruise. First she has to host a run for the Historical Commission. On race day Josh finds a dead body and it’s now a hunt for a killer. Fun series and there’s a dog.
