Publisher's summary

If you think going home again is hard, try being a plus-sized PI with a troubled family legacy. But Savannah Reid is no shrinking violet. She's ready for her high school reunion, complete with mean girls, ex-beaus - and murder charges.... When Savannah Reid fled McGill, Georgia, all those years ago, everyone figured the chubby girl from the wrong side of tracks wouldn't be back. But with the hope of seeing her beloved Granny Reid, Savannah makes a triumphant return with her handsome husband on her arm, ready to face the past at her 25th high school reunion. When her old nemesis Queen of Mean Jeanette Parker shows she hasn't changed her stripes one bit, Savannah rises to the challenge - and finally comes out on top. Until Jeanette's dead body shows up in the swamp and just about everyone is ready to pin Savannah for murder.... Of course, Savannah's own Moonlight Magnolia Detective Agency comes to her rescue. But even her best buds are having trouble keeping Savannah out of jail, despite the fact that Jeanette has more than enough enemies - and quite possibly the blood of her recently deceased husband on her hands. Savannah never thought going back to school would be so hard. But she's learned a thing or two in her time away, and she's ready to finally make the grade when it comes to the ultimate high school redemption....

I never miss a McKevett mystery

What did you love best about Killer Reunion?

The characters in G. A. McKevett's books are like part of the family. You've just gotta love 'em.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Killer Reunion?

The beginning scene in which Dirk is making a ton of noise simply reading his paper will probably resonate with a lot of housewives. So will the desire to bat him over the head with his own paper, and of course McKevett tells it beautifully in her usual humor-filled way.

What does Dina Pearlman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am ashamed to admit that I would never want to READ this book...I am too entrenched with the characters and the voices that Dina Pearlman has bestowed upon each one is near perfect. My own voice could now never do them justice. I look forward to each book and certainly hope it is always Pearlman who is the narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

How can a listener not laugh out loud while listening to one of the McKevett mystery novels. You can't help it.

More Insight into Savannah

Where does Killer Reunion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10% of the books to which I've listened

What did you like best about this story?

I "felt" this book more than any of the other Savannah Reid stories. Her emotional attachment to childhoods events was well written.

Which scene was your favorite?

The end of the book when Granny Reid reveals her birthday "resolution" was my favorite.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and cried. In prior books laughter was the greater emotion, but in this one, I cried more. But that is not a bad thing.

Not the best of the series, but still fun.

The story was a little slow and boring, but the characters were still fun.

Love Savannah!

I was so glad to see another book in the series! Look forward to another one!
The characters are all unique and the Reed clan so real. Any reader who likes reading or listening to a series with murder, sleuthing, friendship, love, temperamental relationships and real people represented would love the Savannah series. I highly recommend!

Loved the book, but...

Savannah Reid is one of my favorite series and I loved this book but the narrator was so annoying I could barely stand to listen to this. It was monotone and choppy. It sounded like she was reading the phone book.
