Publisher's summary

The president's son and daughter are abducted, and Detective Alex Cross is one of the first on the scene. But someone very high-up is using the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA to keep him off the case and in the dark.

A deadly contagion in the water supply cripples half of the capital, and Alex discovers that someone may be about to unleash the most devastating attack the United States has ever experienced.

As his window for solving both crimes narrows, Alex makes a desperate decision that goes against everything he believes - one that may alter the fate of the entire country.

Kill Alex Cross is faster, more exciting, and more tightly wound than any Alex Cross thriller James Patterson has ever written!

James Patterson is an American icon. The suspense and intrigue in this series and especially Kill Alex Cross kept me listening every evening. Who needs Netflix with this series. Fantastic book.

Interesting and worth your time and money. James Patterson is a great author. recommend reading.

the plot and the easy reading.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Let's get the big One

Big Disappointment

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Cross is Patterson's core character and therefore I expect the best from Patterson when a Cross book is written. This one fell far from the mark. The dual story lines, while performed well, especially well by Zach Grenier of The Good Wife fame, lacked any depth. Although the idea of kidnapping the President's children was an interesting one, the whole Saudi terrorist plot was tired and to date, over written by many authors. As we are left wondering what happened to Hallah I also wonder if this was the first of two books that should have been one. The book's title is also a mystery as there was absolutely no attempt to kill Alex Cross. Try again Mr. Patterson, spend more time on Alex Cross and less time on the other 15 books you're publishing this year.

Where or where is the real Alex Cross series?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes, it was disappointing. There were two story lines; neither of them were well developed. The ending of both subplots were rather anti-climatic and there was very little effort to

What do you think your next listen will be?

I think it will the

What about Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier ???s performance did you like?

Andre Braugher has a wonderful voice and is a great actor. Grenier was also good.

Was Kill Alex Cross worth the listening time?

Not really. Maybe JP has run out of ideas for the Cross series or is just trying to push stories out too quickly.

Any additional comments?

I miss the usual Alex Cross type thriller. I thought the main Muslim assassin's thoughts were rather child like. It could have been so much better.

Andre great, story line predictable.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes because Alex, Nana Mama, and Ali are old friends.

Would you recommend Kill Alex Cross to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes but conditionally.

Which character – as performed by Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier – was your favorite?

Alex of course.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

James Patterson is simply churning them out. Character development was weak but Andre Braugher is such a great performer and Alex is so familiar I had to listen.

Disapointed

I like Alex Cross stories, but this one seem to be put together very fast - like he need to get one done by a certain date. If this is your first Alex Cross, don't use this as your benchmark. There are many good ones.

James Patterson let Alex Cross down

What would have made Kill Alex Cross better?

This book had the rhythm of an abridged book - the characters did not seem well developed. This is not James Patterson's best. Why is the title Kill Alex Cross? Hmmmmm

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I thought that the cadence of the reader was wrong. In the prior books there seemed to be no rush to get to the end of the book - this reader seemed to rush through the book.
