Publisher's summary

In an uptown strip joint, a cop is found bludgeoned to death. The weapon's a baseball bat. The motive's a mystery. It's a case of serious overkill that pushes Eve Dallas straight into overdrive. Her investigation uncovers a private club that's more than a hot spot. Purgatory's a last chance for atonement where everyone is judged. Where your most intimate fate depends on your most intimate sins. And where one cop's hidden secrets are about to plunge innocent souls into vice-ridden damnation.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

Another Winner!

What made the experience of listening to Judgment in Death the most enjoyable?

I've been listening to these police dramas for a while now, and I'm on my second go-round with many of them. Familiar characters start to feel like family after a while, and it's interesting to listen to their relationships develop.

What did you like best about this story?

Hard to say -- the narrator or the fact that I identify so strongly with the main character!

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

Eve Dallas

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Police Work at its Finest!

Awesome Awesome!!

I was on the edge of my seat..literally..listening to this! This book (as well as the previous books) make my commute to work easier! It was refreshing to see Roarke as the mad and raddled one! It definitely had me holding my breath. Amazing narrating as usual! Story line was awesome!

Not a talented narrator

The story as usual is fast-paced and gripping. Nora Roberts is an incredible story teller. However, this narrator, is not incredible. Her main characters are fine, but her secondary characters sound ridiculous. Peabody and McNab sound like, I don't know, like old-time cartoon characters. They don't sound like any cops that I would trust working a case for me. The commander sounds like he has perpetual phlegm in his throat. The only ones that are remotely believable are Dallas, Roarke, and the strippers.

Good story

Enjoyed this book. Dallas was not as snarky to her friends as she usually is. She and her team are hunting a cop killer and Dallas is also a target.

Love This Series!

Eve and Roake go head to head over the new case and it isn't pretty. Someone from the past is pulling strings and the hard handedness is front and center. Enjoy

Am loving the books

I had these first few books in paperback when they first came out and loved them back then. Am throughly enjoying them again. Do not ever let Susan Erickson go. She is doing an amazing job.
