Love it!

I am a longtime fan of Sherlock Holmes, but I love this new perspective of Moriarty. He’s the evil Sherlock, and not only do you see his genius in solving problems, but he twists it all to his own advantage. MORE PLEASE!

Very clever short story!

So the James Moriarty, old archenemy of Sherlock Holmes, makes another appearance. I believed he was dead! The audiobook is overpriced at $5 for 70 minutes of listening time. Did Andy Weir of The Martian fame really write this? In any case it is a very clever short story which is also well narrated. Fun!

Clever concept !

Andy Weir is so inventive ! Here he imagines Professor Moriarty as a Sherlock Holmes- type investigator ( Holmes was a "consulting detective", Moriarty is a "consulting criminal".If you are a fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories, you will enjoy these stories. I wish there were more of them !

Hilariously interesting intro to Holme's nemesis

Three short stories that illuminate one possible origin story for Prof. Moriarty, as told by his sidekick and biographer Capt. Moran. Very imaginative and unique, as a Sherlock Holmes fan, I enjoyed it very much.

I loved all of Andy Weir's works and this one too.

The only bad thing ti say here is that this is too short. I hope some day he will continue it.

Funny and simple parody

I laughed quite a bit at the parody and references. Sherlock Holmes is never mentioned by name.
The "mysteries" in each short story did seem a bit simplistic. I'm not the quickest wit but I was able to come to the correct conclusions well before the first-person narrator/character did, and that person seemed amazed and baffled by Moriarty's brilliance, which seemed almost silly at times.
But I did enjoy it, and found the first of the 3 stories to be rather funny, so even though it is not a 5 star story, it's short and worth a listen for Sherlock Holmes fans.

Three short stories which went by so quickly, I was not sure what I had listened to ... started over again ... entertaining. Worth an hour of your time!

Moriarty’s Beginnings! 4.75***** Spoiler Alert!

True to his nature we are shown Prof. Moriarty of Sherlock Holmes’ fame as he rise from criminal consultant to underworld notoriety and leader of his organization. His wit and cunning does surpass Sherlock’s. While James Watson’s cameo appearance, was intriguing.
This was a compilation of gravity defying short stories that were well read, holding the audiences’ attention. The last involving Sunderland was my favorite, with pyromaniac Violet coming in a close second. A Must-Listen!!
