Publisher's Summary

What would it take to make you intervene?

When Ella Longfield overhears two attractive young men flirting with teenage girls on a train, she thinks nothing of it - until she realises they are fresh out of prison and her maternal instinct is put on high alert. But just as she's decided to call for help, something stops her. The next day, she wakes up to the news that one of the girls - beautiful, green-eyed Anna Ballard - has disappeared.

A year later, Anna is still missing. Ella is wracked with guilt over what she failed to do, and she's not the only one who can't forget. Someone is sending her threatening letters - letters that make her fear for her life.

Then an anniversary appeal reveals that Anna's friends and family might have something to hide. Anna's best friend, Sarah, hasn't been telling the whole truth about what really happened that night - and her parents have been keeping secrets of their own.

Someone knows where Anna is - and they're not telling. But they are watching Ella.

    "I Am Watching You"

By Teresa Driscoll Narrated by the superb Elizabeth Knowelden. A most powerful duo of women. For a one eyed nearly blind women who would prefer a Pirate Patch to any other eye pach.

    "excellent read and narration!"

quick read/listen. I switched between reading and audio. Story kept me transfixed, not too unrealistic. Excellent narrator. Highly recommended

    "terrible."

This book was awful. So a girl goes missing, and then four (? I don't even remember exactly, that's how little I liked them or cared) people go on and on and onnnnnnnn about themSELVES. The main one says about 10 times that she WOULD have done something to help the girl, but then she heard the girl's friend having sex in a train bathroom so knew that they weren't NICE girls. Awesome, thanks for the slut-shaming, glad to have it reinforced that women who like sex deserve to die. The second person (the friend) goes on and on about what a TRIAL it is that the police want to talk with her. Great, awesome, thanks for helping--and nice to have it reinforced that teenagers are insanely self-centered and whiny. It goes downhill from there. I tuned out repeatedly but never felt like I missed anything--just more droning and annoyance. No character seems like a real person, or evokes any empathy at all. The ending comes out of nowhere--just about two inches away from "surprise! it was this person you didn't even know." (Another review said the ending was "ham-fisted," which is the perfect descriptor.) I've been reading a lot in this genre, and this broke my streak of good books. Don't waste a credit! Go for anything by Rachel Abbott, or Silent Child, or The Child Finder, instead.

    "I could stop listening!"

I loved all the levels of the book. The author kept you guessing who...throughout the entire book bringing all the little details together at the end. Fantastic writing.

    "Loved"

I loved this book! Was surprised tho the end! Narration was very good, however I did prefer changes in cadence or different narrators for the characters. It was somewhat difficult to determine which character was being portrayed by voice, not until the story line gave clues as to the character was I certain.

    "Amazed"

This is definitely a dark and twisted journey! I was on edge until the very end! I just can't believe things in the story and the dramatic pauses and suspense build ups! Fans of The Girl On The Train would definitely enjoy this! The narrator did an impressive job with the voice part as well!

"Good book as well as being impressive narration!"

I think that this book is written very well, the characters are so natural and believable. However, I personally am not liking to jump from character to character when reading. It kept me riveted throughout the whole book in spite of the that.

    "Good but over hyped"

I was really looking forward to this novel. I’d gotten it as a kindle first and added the audible version. It was a good novel, but I guess I had expected more because of all of the hype around it. I figured it out pretty quickly. Still a good read or listen, just don’t take too much stock in all the over the top editor reviews.

    "Very good mystery/suspense"

I really enjoyed this audible. The story kept me guessing till the end. Also the narrator was very good. Sometimes I really don't like listening to a British accent but I must say this time it added a lot of authenticity to the story.
