Publisher's Summary

It's early September in Glenkillen, Scotland, when American expat (and budding romance novelist) Eden Elliott is recruited by the local inspector to act as a special constable. Fortunately it's in name only, since not much happens in Glenkillen. For now Eden has her hands full with other things: preparing for the sheepdog trial on the MacBride farm, a fundraiser for the local hospice, and helping her friend Vicki with her first yarn club skein-of-the-month deliveries.

Everything seems to be coming together until the head of the welcoming committee is found strangled to death with a club member's yarn. Now Eden feels compelled to honor her commitment as constable and herd together the clues, figure out which ones are dogs, and which ones will lead to a ruthless killer...

I’m loving this series

Hannah Reed has crafted the second book in this series with all the fun and enjoyable characters of the first one. Angela Dawe, as always brings a wonderful performance bringing life to it all. I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and hope there are more to come.

Intrigue in the Highlands

Hooked on Ewe is a fun and entertaining light cozy mystery. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Liked it better than the first

Although I wasn't going to get the next book because of the male voices, I did try it again. I liked this book better. The male voices didn't seem as awful as the first book but Leif's voice still did not improve. I do like the mystery and characters much better this time. I will be looking forward to the third book.

Good, but not as good as the first.

The main character appears to have lost a few IQ points and a significant amount of self control since the first book. It was still an entertaining read, but I had to roll my eyes quite a few times.

Good fun

Although the characters are rather ‘cartoon highlanders’ the story is well written and bowls along. The narrator does a reasonable job of a Scottish accent.
