Publisher's summary

A woman called to me from the end of the grocery aisle. “Yoo-hoo, Baxley! Did you hear about last night’s burglary?” Charlotte Armstrong was my best friend and a reporter for our weekly paper. Excitement radiated from her plus-sized body, fluorescent lighting glinted off her purple glasses. I put down the generic peanut butter I’d been considering. “Are you kidding? The whodunit question buzzed around the hardware store and the bank like a drunken hornet.” “The liquor store heist is all anybody’s talking about. Well, everybody but the sheriff."

Strangely Wonderful Whodunit

The way this one started off I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I soon changed my mind. It is an odd little story, but so much fun. The two friends who decide to investigate three local robberies get a little supernatural help, even though Charlotte Armstrong doesn't believe she is one of "those" Armstrongs. It is a sweet story. A handmade angel showed up at each of the crime scenes . . . an angel that Charlotte has seen before . . . Now Charlotte knows she is on to something . . . She goes home to discuss it with her dad . . . Don't miss this unique little tale . . .

I don't care for this one!

I've enjoyed the other short stories I've listened to in this series, but did not enjoy High Noon at Dollar Central. Narration is great, however.
