Narrator makes all the difference

This book would’ve been better with a different narrator and also a male man narrator for male parts story was OK

Great Urban Fantasy series, ebook and audio

I bought the three book set in audio and also had the ebook. The narrator is OK, she enunciates her words very succinctly. It would have been off putting if I couldn't adjust the speed of the narration. I listened to this at about 1.4 X. At the faster speed, it works well. The story is engaging. All three books are worth the time. I have continued in the series "reading" the books that are not yet available in audio. I would have purchased the audio if they were available though. This is an enjoyable urban fantasy with a strong heroine and interesting twists. It is a series and there is an overall story arc that continues. This is not paranormal romance. It is urban fantasy. The series may have a touch of romance here and there but the books focus on paranormal investigations. Great series so far (I am on book 6).

Excellent story that wants the next book.

My only disappointment is the poor editing. There are numerous grammatical and syntax errors. If they were those of the author the editor should have corrected them.

Please find another narrator

I enjoyed the subject and plot of this book. It treated vampires and werewolves as interesting people rather than relying extensively on excruciating details about their transformations and gory feeding habits. I love stories about witches, but normally do not like to read about vampires and werewolves. The story carried them rather than vice versa. That said, however, the narration was stiff and over precise. The vampires all sounded like they were from Transylvania and several times words were incorrectly placed ie: the arm and hand remains were interchanged once as well as Rachel and Martha's names. And the pronunciation of "werewolf" was almost enough to make me stop listening. Fortunately. the story carried me through. However, I may not read more unless they change the narrator.
