Best of the series!

Hell to Pay was my favorite book of the series! Everything comes together. Secrets get exposed. Ugh... I don’t even know how to write this review without spoilers. So much comes to light.

The narration by Alison Campbell was fantastic. She pulled off the feelings and the emotions so flawlessly. Kay Hunter is a strong female character and I think Campbell pulls it off. I really was impressed and could feel the tension not sure if it was the book or narrator but they certainly complimented each other. Perfect balance.

Another FANTASTIC entry into this series

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily
left this review.

The Detective Kay Hunter story continues! This series has been fantastic, and this book is no exception. In fact, Rachel Amphlett even circles back and wraps up some things from previous books. The narration continues to be great as well. If you have enjoyed this series, you don't want to miss this book.

Your next great Crime Thriller Series is here!

Detective Kay Hunter has been investigating Jozeph Demiri for 2 years. It has been the underlying story line in the previous 3 books in the series. In this installment it comes to a head. There is also a connection to 2 of the characters from Book 1. (No spoilers here but a definite AHA moment.)

The Detective Kay Hunter series as a whole has been simply fantastic. Hell to Pay was no exception. I find that each installment is more gripping, darker, and seedier than the previous one. Jozeph Demiri just may be the most despicable bag guy yet.

The reader also gets a lot of loose ends tied up in Hell to Pay. We finally find out who attacked Gavin and who has been altering files in the database. In the author's usual style the book ends with a jaw dropping moment that left me me clamoring for the next book.

I love the MC, Kay. She is strong, independent, and smart. This series is smartly written and quiet the page turner. Rachel Amphlett has created a magnificent cast that is brought to life by the amazingly talented narrator, Alison Campbell. Campbell does a great job conveying the emotions and thrills involved in narrating a crime thriller. This is one series I will want to experience again.
