A mystery with a surprise ending!

One night Rachel Madison is having a party. Her best friend suggested everyone should be cut off from the alcohol and drink coffee. Suddenly Rachel smells something burning. Her home is on fire and everyone is fighting to get out of the house. In the mad rush to the door, Rachel's best friend got hit and knocked down. She doesn't make it.

Rachel takes time off and visits a cabin by the suggestion of her best friend before she died. Things could have turned out so differently had Rachel done things in a different way. Why didn't she listen? While up at the cabin at Misty Lake, Rachel meets the only 2 other people staying at the cabins. They all become friends. Now the world changes for all of them...

Explore the past and present stories of Misty Lake with Rachel, Daniel and John. This is an exciting paranormal mystery that is sure to have everyone trying to guess the ending. The real ending, well let's just say I didn't see that coming at all!

The author, Lauralynn Elliott did a great job at capturing my interest. I found the story strange and very original and I quite enjoyed it! The narrator, Al Kessel did a great job delivering this story in such an exciting way. I loved the voice used for John! All in all, I really enjoyed this book! This is my first read by this author also my first listen by this narrator. Good job both of you!

Haunted Lake

This was a paranormal love story. It was worth listening to, but not one of my favorites. I found it to be a bit predictable. The performance was good. I would give the book a C+ overall.

Good story with strong narration

I enjoyed the storyline, and the narrator did a good job. If you're the type who prefers to skip a lot of detail in your setting, this is a good book for you. Although I enjoyed it, I would have liked a little more detail. I didn't always feel drawn in, and didn't feel deeply connected to the characters. On the plus side, the ending was atypical--a pleasant change for a ghost story. I think in this case, the narrator added to the appeal. All in all it was entertaining.

Cliché after cliché

Thought this book would be fun but obviously not clicking with me. The plot is very predictable and the dialogue was painfully cute (and not in a good way) and juvenile. I also did not care for the narrator his voice was very sing-song and made listening to the dialogue even more painful.
