Zum Glück legt Langhammer ein Schweigegelübte ab und der Kommissar hat seine Ruhe. Doch dann stirbt in der ersten Nacht einer der Mönche durch einen Blitzschlag auf dem Dach des Klosters.

Mit "Grimmbart" liefert das Autorenduo Volker Klüpfel und Michael Kobr erneut einen missgelaunten Kultkommissar in Hochform. Im ungekürzten Hörbuch lassen sich die Autoren als Sprecher der zahlreichen Rollen zusätzlich von Deutschlands TV-und Kinostar Christian Berkel unterstützen.
Die Spuren des Mords führen zu Rätseln aus der familiären Vergangenheit einer kleinadligen Familie. Der hauptverdächtige Ehemann der toten Baronin legt ein seltsames Verhalten an den Tag. Ein gewisser Grusel schwebt über dem Fall: düstere Schlossatmosphäre, ein Märchenwald, bizarre Zeichen und Symbole. Und das alles mitten im Allgäu, wo man schon gegen ganz andere regionale Besonderheiten zu kämpfen hat. Dann funkt auch noch Kluftingers Sohn dazwischen, der seine japanische Freundin heiraten will. A Family Affair
While the dialect was sometimes difficult to understand, the narration added interesting personality development into each character. Murder in a castle with a mysterious family background is only the beginning. The plot encompasses the professional and personal life of Kluftinger, his Japanese in- laws -to -be staying as house guests the week before the wedding of his son to their daughter, Yumiko, and his exceptionally keen police work. Klufty and Yumiko's father lend humorous context to the story as the language barrier created hilarious predicaments. This story was thoroughly enjoyable, and sometimes required a second or third listen for sheer pleasure of reliving the visual imaging.
