Publisher's summary

For residents of Salem, Massachusetts, the day after Halloween brings empty candy wrappers, sagging pumpkins, and a community-wide identity crisis. That is, until Lee Barrett's TV production class suggests extending the spooky season with the traditional Mexican celebration Dia de Los Muertos. But when the students discover not all of Salem's dead are resting in peace, the post-October blues don't seem so bad after all....

As if a series of haunting graveyard visits isn't disturbing enough, Lee and her policeman boyfriend connect the crime to an unsolved missing person case. Driven by a series of chilling psychic visions, Lee calls on her cleverest allies - including her shrewd cat, O'Ryan - to go underground and dig up the evidence needed to put a lid on a cold case forever...before the latest headstone in town has her name on it!

Terrible narration

I like the stories and the ideas they are based on, but I can not listen to this narrator for more than about half an hour.

Grave Errors

Wonderful story, full of surprise and chills. I love how Lee's deceased husband shows up. The boy friend detective is starting to believe Lea 's visions. Great read.

Fun little cozy mystery

Carol J. Perry has written a fun cozy mystery. This installment was not as good as the first books, but still enjoyable.

Cat mysteries

Have listened to six cat mysteries by Carol J. Perry. Thoroughly enjoyed all and enjoyed listening to the narrator C.S.E. Cooney.
The main characters in the book are lovable and would purchase more books with these characters and the cat.

Enjoyable

I absolutely love Lee and all her "investigations" as she calls it from Pete...I can't wait to start the next book. I find myself laughing out loud in these book series.
Great narration also....

Good story. Not fan of narrator.

This is the fifth book in the series. I do like the story line and characters. I do not like the narrator. She sounds as though she is opening her mouth mode and trying to over enunciate. They way a junior theatre student would. Sounds forced and overly loud. As if she’s just short of yelling. Very weird delivery. Meh.

Great but could be better.

I enjoy all of the books in this series. The writing is good and the characters are pretty relatable. I enjoy the voice of the narrator and how she gets into the story. The only thing I feel detracts slightly is the narrator’s too perfect enunciation. It doesn’t sound natural. Instead it sounds forced and because of that the dialogue can sound stilted at times. Would enjoy the same narrator but more relaxed.

Salem, Cats and a Graveyard. .

Smart students, soggy corpses, and a wild wood with a secret. Spooky goodness in witch city.
