A gang is at work robbing any passenger they find travelling alone on the top deck of London's buses. One night they strike too hard and murder results, followed by another killing of the bus conductress who could have indentified them. This is just one of several cases laden with human interest and suspense which came Gideon's way in another busy week at Scotland Yard.

John Creasey (1908-1973) published over 600 books under 20+ different pseudonyms. In 1969 he was given the Mystery Writers of America’s highest Honour, the Grand Master award.

Police procedural at its best

Would you listen to Gideon's Ride again? Why?

Yes, this series is addictive; extremely well crafted plots combined with believable characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Gideon because he is complex, adept, and solves his cases in an interesting way<br/>

What does Raymond Sawyer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He creates the characters seamlessly; making the dialog real. I love having a good actor read to me.

Any additional comments?

I have downloaded all the books available in the Gideon series and I just wish there were more; they are wonderful.
