Publisher's summary

Kait Winchester inherited a special gift from her Arapaho ancestors: She can heal with her touch. And there is no one she would like to get her hands on more than the super-sexy SEAL who seems determined to ignore their off-the-charts chemistry. When the wounded warrior finally seeks her help, she’s ready to nurse him back to health…and into her bed.

Navy SEAL Lieutenant Marcus "Cosky" Simcosky is no stranger to hot water, but recent events have boiled over into one hell of a mess. His team is under investigation for a hostage rescue gone wrong, a crazy female stalker is on his trail, and the last few bullets he took just may sideline him for the rest of his career. The kicker? The one woman who can help him get back on his feet - and has haunted his fantasies for years - is his teammate’s sister. He’s looked but never touched. When his stalker targets Kait, though, Cosky will have no choice but to do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.

Great Series!

I must say that every book in this series is outstanding! I am in love with all of these SEALS! This book is about Kait and Cosky! Their story is great it is action packed but still with the romance that I love so! I can't wait for book 3! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great story!

Loved this book ! the story was even better than the first and I really enjoyed that one as well. Fast paced continuation of the first story with some new characters. great read and the narrator was excellent.

wow

I am loving all the military talk. very happy that a man narrated this book. the women wiggling in on the action is great. the native American paranormal gifts are crazy good. I am ready for the next one.

Washington State fan

The only reason I enjoyed this book is because of location. I liked the first book more. I don't think I have even finished this one. Enough said.

Sooo glad they changed the narrator!

What made the experience of listening to Forged in Ash the most enjoyable?

The narrator change made all the difference! I wasn't going to finish the series after the first book, but saw the change and took the chance. Glad I did!

Any additional comments?

This series is turning out to be great. Wasn't going to give it another chance after the first book. That narrator was horrible, but Luke Daniels gives this book the ruggedness a SEAL book needs, No whining here!

Too much sex - too little plot developement

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Parts of it were very good, but this author managed to make the sex boring - note to author, we have good imaginations, no need to be so graphic.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Tie up the loose ends with your action sequences. Develop your plots better, flesh out the characters. They seem to be a bit one dimensional. There is no need to make everyone rich because you are too lazy to build a real life for them.

What three words best describe Luke Daniels’s voice?

smooth as cream

Did Forged in Ash inspire you to do anything?

Yep, write something.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to book three in the series, but you have the imagination to do better than Book 2. Book 1 of the series is an example of that.

Book hog

The 2 books were outstanding. I wish the hold up for up in smoke won't take much longer. According to the blog it was this spring early summer. The publisher best get the ball rolling because she has another 2 written.

next installment of a great story

If you could sum up Forged in Ash in three words, what would they be?

Arapahoe part 2

What did you like best about this story?

well developed story as well as a romance. Good amount of mystery, with some sci fi paranormal added in. Plenty of violence, but done well. Ends with a cliff hanger, now I have to wait for book 3! Makes more sense if you read book 1 in this series first

Would you listen to another book narrated by Luke Daniels?

yes, although I prefer a woman's voice for romance

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, the suspense in relationships as well as the story arc keep you hooked

Any additional comments?

She may be new as a writer, but the depth of the story line reminds me of Nora Roberts, I hope we will have many more titles by this author.
The recording ends abruptly, I looked at my Kindle edition to make sure I'd gotten to the end of the book.

don't understand

I don't understand why you would have Mac, their CO, always yelling. He did talk in a normal voice throughout the entire story. Why? CO's are not always yelling. You have him yelling at his men all the time & even telling at civilians as well. Why?
