Publisher's Summary

I was once an FBI agent, a man with a respected career, an officially certified Good Guy. Now I was hiding in a drenching rainstorm outside of a scared man’s house after my very public firing and repudiation. I could quite easily die in the next few minutes, or be forced to take the life of an innocent man. That was my life now.

So be it. We all make choices. Most of my choices are bad ones, and that no longer bothers me.

Gavin Holder, rogue FBI agent turned lawbreaker, is now the head of security for the Quod Corporation - a fantastic new tech start-up promising everything from artificial intelligence to flying cars. The Quod Corporation’s president is a charismatic and brilliant public speaker, but his charm masks a sinister obsession. Gavin Holder is soon in far over his head, dealing with heavily-armed mercenaries, ruthless hitmen, fanatical vigilantes, and a Mongolian Buddhist monk with ties to the Chinese mob.

When Holder finds out what’s really going on, all the threads of his past will come together - can Holder finally make the right choices or will Father take him down for good?

Happy that I bought this book.

Gavin Holder had hunted “Father” for years. Now he works for “Father” as “Father’s” head of personal security, with some wet work on the side. In the Great Work, he managed to bring the Ultima Thule organization to what appeared to be a standstill by neutralizing the Ebola virus weapon. The FBI rewarded him by firing him. Now “Father” is on the verge of raining death and devastation on Washington DC from above, and Holder does not have the skillset needed to stop him.

Happy to write a review for this book.

The characters and situations were made clear enough and I developed a interest in them quickly and felt their dire circumstances enough to read past bedtime. I was glad to find that a resolution seemed to have been achieved, maybe.

What an exciting listen and ride. I was lucky enough to get this book and I couldn't put it down. Be prepared for action from start to finish and an explosive ending. You can't go wrong with Gavin Holder.

5 out of 5

Non-stop interesting action adventure full of unexpected twists and turns. Gavin is a likable and real life type of hero, older now, but a former punk rocker surrounded by mysterious characters. Lots of surprises. Galloway is an exciting author. I will listen more from him.

I'm loving this series of Gavin Holder's adventure

I'm loving this series of Gavin Holder's adventures. It keeps me guessing if Gavin is a good guy turned bad or if he has always been bad. I was not able to put it down even when I needed to get up early.

Good Overall...

Full disclosure.. My first introduction to Gavin Hunter so i really had no background on the character. Took me a while to fill in some of his history and involvement with "Father". Book grabbed my attention and kept me involved though slow at some moments. Looking forward to further books from this author.

Good listen. Not too many twists & turns -- pretty straight forward. You'll stay on the edge of your seat wondering when or if Gavin gets caught ... or how he gets out of another tight spot. One major surprise most folks won't see coming (but I don't want to spoil it so you'll have to listen the book).

Loved this book so much!

What a fantastic listen.....constant excitement and action....I am hesitant to read a lot of new writers but believe me you will not regret reading this authors books....just make sure you have plenty of time when you sit down to read it because you will not want to put it down...I would put this book up in the category of James Patterson and Brad Thor...A great upcoming author..

Effective and easy to follow

Fast paced, and action packed, this story will take you on a dizzying ride through the machinations of a megalomaniac’s ultimate plan as you slowly piece together what it actually is. This is my honest voluntary review for this book.

cool book. I liked the content.

After a bit of a slow start things get going and the wait is worth it. In this last chapter of Gavin Holder's story, he must use all of his ice cold nerve and calculating ability to try to bring his nemesis 'Father' to justice. Filled with unrelenting tension and so many twists it kept me guessing right to the end. Will Gavin be able to succeed in his mission when the odds seem to be stacked against him? Will he even be able to stay alive? Well, you will just have to read this exciting conclusion to find out. I highly recommend this book, indeed the whole series.

Must listen to it....

I liked this book but I didn't listen the first two in the series so there were references that I am sure I could have understood better. Having said that, I don't really think it took a lot away from the story. The characters and situations were made clear enough and I developed a interest in them quickly and felt their dire circumstances enough to read past bedtime. I was glad to find that a resolution seemed to have been achieved, maybe.
