Publisher's summary

“A true psychological thriller that will leave you breathless.” - Wendy Walker, bestselling author of All Is Not Forgotten and Emma in the Night

Emotionally guarded Daphne Amos always believed she’d found a kindred spirit in her fiancé, Heath. Both very private people, they’ve kept their pasts hidden from the world, and each other, until Heath’s escalating nightmares begin to put an undeniable strain on their relationship. Determined to give their impending marriage the best chance of succeeding, Heath insists that Daphne join him on a seven-day retreat with Dr. Matthew Cerny, a psychologist celebrated for getting to the root of repressed memories. Daphne reluctantly agrees - even though the past is the last place she wants to go.

The retreat’s isolated and forbidding location increases her unease, as do the doctor’s rules: they must relinquish their keys and phones, they’ll be monitored at all hours by hidden cameras, and they’re never to socialize with the other guests.

One sleepless night, Daphne decides to leave her room...and only then does she realize that the institute is not at all what it seems - and that whatever’s crying out from Heath’s past isn’t meant to be heard. It’s meant to be silenced.

Every Single Secret

I didn’t love this one. I think the storyline was written well. It kept me on my toes wondering what would happen next, but Daphne, the main character - who I wanted to like and care about - wasn’t likable. I wanted to - but just couldn’t. Her quirks were annoying and her love for her fiancé was obsessive. I couldn’t like any of the characters. I rushed through just to get away from them.
I had to listen to most of this book at 1.5 speed because I had a hard time with the mouth noises and swallowing sounds the narrator kept making. I hate to be critical of narrators because that can’t be an easy job, but this one really was rough for me. She does a nice job with her tone of voice and the character voices.

Kate Orsini made a whole lot of difference

Every Single Secret reads like a movie I saw one time. And Kate Orsini made it sound like you are listening to a movie. The story is not as complex as a Celeste Ng novel, but it's very entertaining.

Love this author!!

EXCELLENT READ!!I chose this book because I really liked “Until the Day I Die” by Emily Carpenter. This book did not disappoint! It had great twists and turns and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.

Leftdown

I really liked the narrator and what she did with the role. The ending was a disappointment though.

love the author and the narrator!

I am absolutely enthralled while listening to Kate Orsini narrate any books. Her speaking style is interesting, conversational and seamless. Kate moves the story along as well as the author. I love her!

Whacky but Good

Man this is one heck of a plot... pretty out there, but kept me guessing. Orsini’s narration always makes me a little sleepy, but she also makes me laugh.... she brings a lot of flair to every book.
