Publisher's summary

Number one New York Times best-selling author David Baldacci returns with his most breathtaking thriller yet....

Will Robie and Jessica Reel are two of the most lethal people alive. They're the ones the government calls in when the utmost secrecy is required to take out those who plot violence and mass destruction against the United States. And through every mission, one man has always had their backs: their handler, code-named Blue Man.

But now, Blue Man is missing.

Last seen in rural Colorado, Blue Man had taken a rare vacation to go fly fishing in his hometown when he disappeared off the grid. With no communications since, the team can't help but fear the worst.

Sent to investigate, Robie and Reel arrive in the small town of Grand to discover that it has its own share of problems. A stagnant local economy and a woefully understaffed police force have made this small community a magnet for crime, drugs, and a growing number of militant fringe groups.

But lying in wait in Grand is an even more insidious and sweeping threat, one that may shake the very foundations of America. And when Robie and Reel find themselves up against an adversary with superior firepower and a home-court advantage, they'll be lucky if they make it out alive, with or without Blue Man....

Another exciting Will Robey adventure.

I loved it and could hardly put it down. A little romance added just the right amount of spice.

best of the series

I absolutely loved it and could not stop listening. I love Robie and Reel and that book is the best of the series, if not Baldacci' s best. the story and the performance are outstanding.

Typical Baldacci

As usual, held me in suspense from beginning to end. A surprise at the end

Sleepless in Alexandria...

Could only listen to this in the late evening hours. We’ll worth the lost sleep! Definitely not one I’d fall asleep on.

The END was disappointing

I am a David Baldacci fan, but while The End was very exciting and enthralling during the first 3/4 of the book, the end went on and on w/so many twists, turns, double-backs and implausible details that I was getting tired of it by the conclusion. It was still a good enough read if you are a fan and enjoy trying to figure out LOTS of complications, but many of his other books are far more convincing all the way through.

Hold onto your hat!

Great in every way possible - characters you'll care about and suspense that'll make stopping impossible - and the intense love story made me cry - this is a masterpiece of the genre!
