Publisher's Summary

Winter is leaving the residents of Glenkillen snowbound, but Eden isn't about to let the weather dampen her spirits. With only a little time left in Scotland, she's determined to make the most of it - starting with attending a fancy whisky tasting with local looker Leith Cameron. But her classy date turns into a major party foul after a woman is found drowned in one of the vats of alcohol.

Eden immediately steps in as a Special Constable to help solve the case, but her investigation turns sour when she realizes that the killer could be somehow connected to her own Scottish heritage. Now, in order to find the proof she needs to put the murderer behind bars, she'll have to take a shot at unearthing her family's past-before she herself winds up buried....

I love this series

Hannah Reed and Angela Dawe are the perfect combo for cozy mysteries. I love this series, the characters are well created and easily seem like friends. The setting is quite interesting and well described. The mystery is fun and enjoyable. My only complaint is there aren’t more books in the series.

I Like This One The Best

Is this series a trilogy? Is this the last book? I ask because it answered the question of Eden Elliot’s father and Eden is leaving Scotland. I like that she is not getting together with Leif, I prefer Inspector Jamison. If there are more books in this series, I am interested but the Leif’s voice definitely need to be improved.

Good story ruined by poor narration

The narration on this book is lackluster, and the intonations and inflections used are northing short of irritating. Too bad. I wanted to continue with the book but I couldn't tolerate the narrator. And, worse yet, this is a trilogy (which I love) all narrated by the same person.

5 stars

Hannah Reed has found the perfect formula for cozy mysteries. Engaging and realistic plot, a quick pace with lots of red herrings and relatable characters. This book and the others in this series all follow this formula and are enjoyable to read. I look forward to listening to the next book.
