Publisher's Summary

Equal parts Dexter and Fifty Shades, this is the eagerly awaited follow-up to the daring erotic thriller The Girl in 6E by A.R. Torre.

1. Don't leave the apartment.
2. Never let anyone in.
3. Don't kill anyone.

The rules were simple, and I broke them.

Now I must face the consequences.

Everyone else must face me.

Critic Reviews

"A.R. Torre's The Girl in 6E lifts the veil on the dark, erotic world of camming, but the book contains so many more surprises than that. At the novel's core, a tender heart beats, and the increasingly suspenseful pages fly by as its deepest secrets are revealed. This is a taut, edgy, thrill ride, powerfully gripping and impossible to turn away from." (David Bell, author of Never Come Back and Cemetery Girl)

"An incredible debut. Gritty, unique, primal, full of angst, oddly feminist, and right up my alley. The Girl in 6E deviates from formulaic romance to deliver something truly special and worthy of praise and attention. A dark soul like me isn't often surprised by controversy or taboo subject matter, but this book delivers and I'll be reading more A.R. Torre books in the future. Kudos!" (CJ Roberts, New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of The Dark Duet
"Dark, edgy, and thrilling in a completely unexpected way." (Lisa Renee Jones, New York Times best-selling author of The Inside Out series)

There is nothing 50 shades about this book.

This was a great book, it was easily equal to The Girl in 6 E Possibly even Better. But the likeness to 50 shades is a farce. There is no D/s or M/s dynamic in this book. In fact frankly I am a little disturbed that it would be compared to 50 shades but this book references things that are clearly non-consensual. Which is exactly the opposite of 50Shades much less any well written BDSM literary piece.

Don't but this because you are looking for 50Shades, buy it because you read The Girl in 6E and want to follow a brilliant story.

For the record, Violence and sex do not equal Dominant, they equal predator.

5 MFing Stars!

Wow, I thought the first book was good. It's like they took the leash off the author and she let the characters go wild. This was an outstanding listen and I finished it while going to work and taking care of my family in two days. Absolutely worth the money, time, and a listen I will go back to. If the author ramped it up this much for the second book, I can't wait for the third installment. The narrator once again did a five star job. Don't wait, click buy NOW!!

Weirdly and Disturbingly Wonderful

This is the sequel to The Girl in 6E, which is one of the best books I have read this year. One of the strangest, but one of the best. Do Not Disturb continues the story of Deanna Madden, one of the most bizarre and questionably sane heroines ever to grace the pages of a novel. Honesty, after reading 6E, I never expected there to be sequel. It didn't scream "series". But I am glad the author gave me another chance to spend time with this weirdly amoral but very likable character.

Her somewhat unique career - internet sex cam girl - isn't described quite so clinically in this book. There is more graphic detail than in the first book, which didn't bother me, but might be offensive to others. I actually found it quite fascinating and was impressed (and curious about) by how much research the author had to do about this job.

The premise of this book is - just as Deanna is starting to emerge from her self-imposed isolation and making tentative connections in the real world, she is faced with a really bad guy and her ultimate show down with him allows her to give into her bloodlust. At the end of the first book I doubted if Deanna's fears were justified and if she was as capable of violence as she seemed to believe. By the end of Do Not Disturb, there was no doubt in my mind that she is as scary as she believes herself to be.

The book also fleshes out a couple other characters introduced in the first book. Both her boyfriend and her paid computer hacker are generally good guys, both are in love with her and both see the good and the bad in her. They make Deanna more real and less of a caricature.

This book isn't for everyone, but I still recommend it. It is full of frank and blunt sexual content, but at the same time, it isn't eroticized at all. There is some violence and gore near the end. But it is extremely well written, the plot moves quickly and keeps you interested, there is humor and compassion and Deanna, despite how screwed up she is, is also endearing and likable. Jorjeana Marie, the narrator did an excellent job. I will definitely read the next book about Deanna. I am rooting for her.

Really good

I enjoyed listening to this sequel. I will say that at times it seemed to dragged a bit but I didn't mind too much. At the end I figured that it was not the last book and it was confirmed with the authors comment. With that said, I can't hardly wait for the next book! Give me more..I am ready 😊

Liked it better than the first!

If you could sum up Do Not Disturb in three words, what would they be?

Can't stop listening

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes it did! Sometimes with books that are told from different character point of views I get bored with one or two of the story lines. This one kept my attention throughout with each character.

Which character – as performed by Jorjeana Marie – was your favorite?

Diana

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction

50 Shades Comparison? No Way!

What a great follow up! However, I don't get the 50 Shades comparison. Rather than a juvenile, cobbled together story, these books are very well written. Despite being shocking they tell a fascinating story about an extremely flawed young heroine. With this book, as well as the first one, I alternated between loving the character of Deanna Madden and strongly disliking her. This gal is seriously messed up. So far both books in the series have been impossible to put down. They are just that good. To those who don't mind the erotica or can see it as an integral part of the stories I highly recommend them. Be sure to start with the first book. It is a must to have an introduction to what makes Deanna tick.

Very good

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend the audible to a friend. The story was original, it flowed, I loved all the characters, and the narrator did an amazing job. Very suspenseful. I really had no idea how things would end.

Have you listened to any of Jorjeana Marie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to anything by Jorjeana Marie before, but moving forward I will. She did an excellent job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the bad guy was getting close...

Those scenes I was on the edge of my seat and honestly I wanted to fast forward just to find out how everything would go.

A thrilling, erotic read...

This is book 2 in the Deanna Madden Series. This book is pretty good, but I still liked book 1 better. Deanna sure has had a hard life! This book is a thriller, suspense, erotic and full of drama!

The author, A R Torre does a great job with her imagination. The plot is suspenseful and held my interest so much so that I read this book in 1 day. A really long day! The narrator, Jorjeana Marie does a excellent job delivering this story to us. I liked the voices used, the accents and the emotions in the voices. I am off to read book 3!

I love this series!!!

Any additional comments?

I love this series!!! At the end the author says she doesn't think she's done yet which made me happy! This book was up there on my "I'm hooked" novels. The ending is a bit disappointing but it also leaves a lot more to be able to be written so I get it. But it still sucks. Awesome read and highly recommend!!!!!!
