Done with Serial Killer Novels

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If you like serial killer books. I just think I'm not interested in what goes on inside a serial keillers head. I like the steps taken by the investigater to catch the killer. Too much of the killers side of it.

What was most disappointing about Jan Burke’s story?

Too much of the killers side of it.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Eliza Foss?

Good reader and good writer, I'm just turned off buy the constant serial killer.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

nothing

Any additional comments?

Mostly there is nothing wrong with tthe book, I just made a wrong choice at this time in my life.

I've a serious addiction to this series

I love the characters, the point of view, the struggle with life that is portrayed, the appreciation of the struggles of the writers that came before Irene. I wish I were one of her friends, because I would so love a good cup of coffee overlooking Frank's garden, chatting with her accumulated regular guests. I'm sad to say that this may be the absolute last one. If so, that will be sad. I recommend this series. Savor it. It makes the perfect long walk rehabilitation companion.

Disturbance is a perfect listen

What did you love best about Disturbance?

The plot and the characters are interesting and hold your attention.

What other book might you compare Disturbance to and why?

To some of the other Irene Kelly Books

What about Eliza Foss’s performance did you like?

Eliza Foss's use of her voice so that the characters each takes on a different intonation makes it all feels very alive and almost visual. Her voice also has a very pleasant quality about it. I would gladly listen to other books read by Eliza Foss.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

One of my favorite moments was when Irene discovered the matches sewed into the lining of her jacket.
