clever but disjointed
Ever sit through someone telling a 5 minute joke only to have a punch line fit for a 30 second joke?
Decent story just a lot of angst interspersed with a story line that wore thin over time.
The Henri parallel universe was a bit confusing.

Overall I was left unsatisfied
The reader was fantastic. Plenty of expression, and pauses in the right places. The story on the other hand... lacked. I was disappointed with a few of the plot points and characters introduced that had nothing to do with the story what do ever.

I did finish this book....
I did finish the book... however, I could do without authors digs and onesided views on gun control all the while killing people off by physical violence and knives. Seriously!?
Several disparaging comments about America as well.

Great Beginning but...
...fizzled to a rushed and manipulated ending. The early chapters were engaging with the right blend of suspense and tension. The middle was slow and needed a good editor. The ending was a disappointment. It felt rushed and poorly conceived. Narration in different voices was great.

Wow
I love mysteries, but I usually have book solved very early on. This author is refreshingly different. I love the style of writing and I love that I didn’t have it all figured out until the end.
