Another rescued damsel in distress??

Any additional comments?

This is my 2nd Jack Reacher book and the storylines were pretty good. The literary style is a little different but I was ok with it. I'm uncertain I will purchase another, as in both books he rescued a damsel in distress, had a "relationship" for the duration of the book and then parted ways. Not very original. I do not know if other books in the series follow this same pattern.

On the road with Jack

Enjoyed novel. Enough action and believable characters. The resolution had some abrupt moments but not a big problem. Already ordered Book 3.

We enjoy Reacher stories.

Thing trashy romance novel for the action adventure types. Love Reacher books in print as well.

Fun fiction.

This is just fun fiction. Don't take it too seriously and you'll probably enjoy it.

Jack Reacher is my newest favorite guy!

Where does Die Trying rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty dang high, I have to tell you.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the way Jack Reacher continued to surprise himself, and me, with the way he discovered the plot to be twisting and turning with him in it.

What about Jonathan McClain’s performance did you like?

Sort of subtly interesting, down to earth, but with a fierceness if you will, that leads right into the character's mindset.

Save The Day Or ......

Lee Child is back with the second adventure of Jack Reacher. This time he's trying to be "Mr. Nice-Guy" and gets caught in a kidnap attempt. What to do? How does he save his fellow captive? Who does he trust? This new adventure takes a little while to develop but once it does it is a high speed ride. Lee Child does a good job of keeping you interested and invested in the story. This is a great read and really engrossing.

Most of the reviewers of this book don't like that it was narrated by Jonathan McClain. Now like everyone else I think that Dick Hill is the voice of Jack Reacher, but McClain does a good job. If you haven't listened to alot of Reacher books with Dick Hill, than McClain doing this narration won't bother you. Not as good as Hill, but good all the same.

Narrator is pretty good!

When reading the reviews all I could see was "We hate Jonathan McClain" so I decided to see for myself. And I found out that McClain is not half bad. Grant it he's no George Guidall or Dick Hill but he holds his own. The story makes up for any problems someone might have with the narration. Just Sayin.........
