Publisher's summary

The world's most effective anti-terrorist force has the tools to monitor every move the enemy makes. They've planted a listening device inside a terrorist's skull and activated a video spy drone disguised as a bird. But knowing is only half the battle.

Multi-lingual, nerves-of-steel agents Charlie Dean, Lia DeFrancesca, and Tommy Karr prowl the winding streets of Istanbul to the crowded airports of America to stop terrorists in their tracks. Hooked into a real-time, high-tech system, this army of three goes head-to-head with the most dangerous people in the world.

Al Qaeda is launching a series of devastating attacks against the West - and the ultimate strike is aimed at the heart of the USA! In a war where both sides operate in deep disguise, Deep Black must fight a world in which betrayal, trust, faith, and doubt collide.

Special ops: listen to another Deep Black thriller.

Worst book we have ever heard

This book has two strikes against it.
1. The story line is not-existant

When we had listened to the book for over 8 hours and we still do not know where the story was going then something is wrong. The story seems to jump around without any real target. Finally after about 10 hours it has a finale. Unfortunately, the story continues and when it does finally end it leaves you hanging. It is like the writer just got tired of writing and ran out of ideas so he decided to end the story.

2. The reader reads it like a romantic comedy.

He had a light and airy sound to his voice that was just not right for a mystery novel. Also, the
reader used a low pitched voice for Reubans, one of the main characters, which sounded like it belonged in a children's story. We both grimaced everytime he read the character's lines.

Do not waste your time on this book. We are very sorry we wasted ours.

Narrator was terrible

I got through 4 hours of this book and finally had to quit. I had no idea what was going on and I just couldn't follow the names of the terrorists. The narrator was just terrible. His voices were impossible to tell who was talking and his Tommy Carr voice sounded like something from a Scooby Doo cartoon.
