Publisher's Summary

When Carole goes for a trim at Connie's Clip Joint, she doesn't expect to find herself at the scene of a murder. But in the back room, strangled by the lead of a hairdryer, sits Connie's young assistant Kyra. Carole and her sleuthing friend Jude are soon enjoying some tactical snooping, and it seems that Fethering's fingers are pointing firmly at Kyra's boyfriend Nathan, who has disappeared. As our discreet lady detectives decide there are only so many haircuts they can have for the sake of neighbourhood crime-solving, they also realise that this is no cut-and-dried case.

I love Fethering!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, definitely. It's a pleasant, quirky and cute cozy mystery narrated by the author delightfully.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Death Under the Dryer?

Well - I don't want to give anything away...but maybe when Carol found the body under the dryer?

Have you listened to any of Simon Brett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes! I love Simon Brett's stories and narration. Actually, I'm not that fond of the Charles Paris books, but simply adore the Fethering series with Carol and Jude.

Any additional comments?

Please, Simon - write more Fethering stories! I've already listened to the Guns in the Gallery...

Twist in the tale

Have you listened to any of Simon Brett???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to two other Simon Brett books. I like his voice, not too jarring on the ear. I like his own character voices. It's nice to know that's how he imagined them to sound. To the best of his ability. <br/>Nice twist in the end! I have just downloaded another book of his in the Charles Paris series.

excellent

Simon Brett narrates his own story and by doing so the characters and their nuances come to life. Nice twists and turns which always characterise Simon Brett books..
