Publisher's Summary

Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before.

A killer who is just like him.

Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry. But now, Whitlock is a free agent who has been directed to terminate his fellow student of death. He knows how his target thinks, how he moves, and how he kills. And he knows the best way to do the job is to make Gentry run for his life - right up until the moment Dead Eye finally ends it.

    "S-l-o-w"

This story was much slower than the previous books. It had some decent action at the end, but it took a long time to get there.

"Better than Bourne and MI 3"

This is the best performance of a narrator I have ever heard. He made the story credible and I even found myself in the middle of the action. I enjoyed the variety of accents and voices which made the story even more interesting.

This was one of the best books of The Gray Man series yet. A lot of action. You will have to read the book to find out what I mean by double the action double the fun!

    "Move over Jack Reacher!"

Mark Greaney's Court Gentry is now my top lone wolf thriller character. The Gray Man story really found its paces in this book. I have to admit that I listened to Back Blast before I wrote this "review." I really liked this book. But I really loved Back Blast and I just purchased Gunmetal Gray! I am a fan for life! Now that Lee Child seems to be phoning in his manuscripts, I've lost interest in the Jack Reacher series, who was up until the last couple of books, my favorite thriller series. Mark Greaney has filled that gap for me. Love it!

    Story
    "too much"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

I found that with my system of listening when and where I can with significant time lapse it became too hard to follow too many characters and locations and plots.A

What was most disappointing about Mark Greaney’s story?

As stated above it's just too many too much - too hard to follow.

Which character – as performed by Jay Snyder – was your favorite?

I liked the Israelite girl I saw a lot of potential with her - big disappointment with her end.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Probably

I don't usually rush out for all the "best sellers", but give each intriguing book/author a look. I have found many diamonds in the rough.

    "Spy Games"

Two assassins who must outwit, outthink eachother in order to survive. A cat and mouse game with a hitch, one is cheating and playing with a stacked deck. Survival of the fittest, smartest in a fast paced plot.
