Daisy McDare and the Deadly Art Affair: Daisy McDare wants nothing more than to find the man of her dreams and build a thriving interior decorator business. Instead she finds herself heartbroken and in the middle of a murder investigation.

Daisy is in the middle of a decorating job at a famed local celebrity's mansion when the arrogant painter is found murdered in his backyard studio. Suddenly there's a house full of suspects, each with a bigger reason to want the victim dead than the next.

When the local police get stumped during their investigation, Daisy realizes she'll have to take matters into her own hands.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Legal Affair: Daisy McDare is busy nursing a broken heart, trying to build up her interior decorator business, and baking cookies when murder strikes Cozy Creek.

At first, she leaves the investigation to Chris Crumple, the local bumbling police detective. But when Crumple arrests the wrong suspect, Daisy takes the investigation into her own hands.

Cracking the case won't be easy. She'll need help from her pastry-baking best friend Samantha, her wise-cracking Granny Annie, and her trusty West Highland Terrier Shamus.

It's up to Daisy McDare to find the murderer in Cozy Creek before they strike again.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair: Murder once again strikes the quaint little tourist town of Cozy Creek. This time the victim is an arrogant independent film director who has a bad habit of making of enemies.

As the set decorator for the movie, Daisy is in a unique position to do some serious sleuthing. But she can't solve the murder alone.

She enlists her cupcake baking best friend Samantha, wise cracking Granny Annie, private investigator crush Gavin, and her lovable West Highland Terrier Shamus to find the killer.

Great Series!

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. The narrator did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Lackuster cozy mystery

I started this audiobook thinking that Daisy McDare was going to be fun, intelligent and relatable. She's 33, a business owner, recently got dumped, and rescued a pup from the shelter. She's full-figured and happy about how she looks. (Great!) Then, her character falls completely flat. Daisy is addicted to food and "loves shopping" - that's all there is to her. She has very little self-control.

Daisy doesn't solve mysteries as much as getting in the way of detectives by asking nosey and upsetting questions. She's supposedly good at reading people / insightful, but there's no evidence of this besides stating the obvious.

In each story, an unlikeable character gets done in by someone. The people surrounding the victim are all unlikable "stock" characters. The timelines are so abbreviated that everyone in the story ("suspects") comes across as completely awful.

The statistical probability of someone getting murdered at every single job you take? How does she keep finding work?

The narrator does an excellent job portraying different characters.

Murder Mysteries

Daisy McDare Three Book Set
By: K.M. Morgan
Narrated by: Caroline Shively
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
I have had very good luck with the audible books I have received but this book isn't one of them. I wanted to like it because it has a cute dog from the pound and Daisy is always eating good things ...a gal after my own heart. But I felt the characters were flat, the mysteries dull, and the stories very hard to get through. I hate disappointing authors but my job as a reviewer is to be honest. The narrator in the first book made each sentence sound like she was excited! That got old fast! She was better in the next two books but by then I was traumatised, lol. I don't see how this book got so many 5 star reviews on Amazon. Audible version has it more in the range I would guess.

didn't get far!

Not my kind of book. First chapter sounds like a bad soap. I thought it was a Christian novel.

A lovely series

I very much enjoyed listening to this series and I would be happy to continue to listen to more. The stories are gently paced, lighthearted and fun. The mystery in each story is interesting and entertaining. The characters are cute and likeable.
There is a very relaxed feel to these stories which I appreciated and enjoyed as I chilled out in the garden with a glass of wine. Perfect.
