Publisher's summary

In the rural parishes of Louisiana's French Triangle, young women are disappearing one by one, only to turn up on the banks of the bayou, strangled and cast aside where they are sure to be found. But there is one trophy the killer prizes above all others, one woman who must be silenced forever....

Attorney Laurel Chandler did not come back to Bayou Breaux to seek justice. That once-burning obsession had destroyed her credibility, her career, her marriage - and nearly her sanity. But when a ruthless predator strikes too close to home, she's lured into a perverse game from which there may be no escape. Once before, Laurel's cries against a monstrous evil went unanswered. Too much Sex

I am all in favor of a sultry novel But this is way too much for a murder mystery

Good book good story. I wish they'd have gotten some of the name pronunciations right. (I'm a Louisiana girl)

Liked the book

Liked the book but the recording skipped and at one point in the story it just kept stopping. I had to forward past a section. Tried multiple devices and did it on all.

Not typical Tami Hoag but Good

I never read anything even vaguely romantic, but this book , set in the 90s in Louisiana, was worth wading through the mush and sex. Truly a great writer, truly worth the time to listen! A good mystery! She understands lawyers, which was a nice bonus!

love stories that take place in south Louisiana

huge fan of the Atchafalaya in south Louisiana even though I'm a New York Yankee. I have spent a lot of time in the Atchafalaya and can picture every moment of the story, and every place.

Cajun Trouble.

I read this a long time ago and like it. The mystery was good, and I love the Cajun in the hero, very sexy. The story is a bit dated as it is one of Tami Hoag’s earlier works, still good though. One thing that bugged me about this story is the amount of time it spends on the sister. Yeah, we get it, she lead a terrible life and was unlikable, but I wanted to hear more on the H/h factor. I love the Cajun in Jack. The mystery was good, and I love the Cajun in Jack. Narrator is good.

Cry Wolf

“Oh woe is me” carried on way too long. No surprises here. Identified the villain as soon as he was introduced. Way more sex than story needed to my way of thinking. Fight sequence at end was interminable. Just end it already! Not my favorite book. But, all that said, the reader was exceptional.
