Another

Chapter in the Martin Beck stories. This one was a bit more straightforward than some of the others

Nuance look at criminal and police behavior

Another interesting and well told tale of crime and policing in Sweden in the early 70s through the eyes of Martin Beck and his colleagues in the Swedish police. Glad I found this series on Audible. One of the best offerings included in my Audible membership!

A rare book and series - 5

An outstanding police procedural
written by these talented two authors.
if you have not read this short series - you will want
to.
I started this volume long ago and did not finish it... it seemed gloomy slow. So I stuck with it all the way, letting the words weave their magic -the last 3rd of this book is FUNNY!

How many people live in Sweden?

If there are only a dozen people in Sweden then I take back this review, but otherwise this was an awful book. I felt nothing at all for most of the characters, and the ending was very unsatisfying and unbelievable. No matter how much you like Nordic crime, don't waste your money or time on this.

Slow and Mundane

What disappointed you about Cop Killer?

It it so slow to develop. I finally quit after about 2 hours. I really tried to persevere and listen to the book. It is just plain boring.

What do you think your next listen will be?

James R Benn - Billie Boyle series: Evil for Evil

How could the performance have been better?

Someone who could actually speak with something other than a monotone voice. It was like listening to a chemistry lecture in college.

Sooo Slowww

To me- a slow book and it makes the Swedish Police force sound like a bungling batch of dim wits. I just couldn't finish it.

World's worst book, really

Don't waste a credit or $$...not funny, not interesting, a pain all around. Perhaps something was lost in translation.
