Great story lines

This series offers a strong story with smart interesting characters. You cannot guess where the story will lead. I love the main character, she is smart, tough and sensitive. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Good Plot - Bad Narrator

I enjoyed the plot. The characters are still pretty thin, but there is more fleshing out and I liked cameos from past books. Narrator is still flat, but maybe I'm getting used to it as it didn't bother me as much.

Not Hambling's best

Sophie comes off as a bit too precious. I don't like her smug righteousness. Also didn't care for the narrator's portrayal.
