Muffins and Murder in Minnesota

It's winter in Lake Eden and the town leaders are trying to drum up ways to increase foot traffic and keep their businesses afloat, when they decide to host a winter carnival. Inviting popular TV cooking diva, Connie Mac to the town for a book signing, little did they know what mayhem they were in for. When Connie Mac turns up dead in Hannah’s bakery, the list of suspects is a mile long . . . and one of Hannah’s and Andrea’s childhood friends is at the top of the list. Hannan and Andrea’s mother is busy recreating an historical home for the winter carnival, reported to be haunted by ghosts. The local dentist, who is also a photographer and one of Hannah’s heart throbs, is assisting with carnival photos. And Hannah and Andrea are sleuthing together, trying to find Connie Mac’s killer . . . to the chagrin of the local police department. This is such a fun and interesting series. And I can always occupy myself with mundane tasks while listening. Excellent conclusion, too, and well worth the wait!

Very enjoyable

If you like Cleo Coyle, you'll enjoy this as well. Amateur sleuths are a treat & the narrator brings the characters to life. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Great Again, Not a Fluke!

What did you love best about Blueberry Muffin Murder?

I loved the relationship between Hannah and her sister the most in this book. I am close with my own sister, so it is nice to see someone else who is just as close.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blueberry Muffin Murder?

One of the most memorable moments of the Blueberry Muffin Murder is when one we learn that one of the characters was adopted. It added a nice little twist to the story.

Which character – as performed by Suzanne Toren – was your favorite?

Hannah is my favorite character. Or possibly her sister, Andrea. They are both so funny and get into crazy situations.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nothing really "moved me," because it was not really an emotional story.

Great plot line

I liked I didn’t figure out who the killer was. Always good to be surprised by the ending.

comfy cozy

This story was engaging and with interesting twists.

The narrator has a nice voice and voice acts well. I wished for a bit more character individuation but I understand the cast is not so eclectic. (I don't remember Edina being pronounced like that but I am from Wisconsin.)
