Publisher's Summary

A service station on the M1: dimly lit, run down, poorly supervised, flickering lights, dark corners; a favorite stopover for long-distance truck drivers on their way up north from London. Behind it, a body is found in a ditch, that of a girl barely out of her teens. She appears to have no family, no friends, no connections anywhere. Other girls have gone missing in the vicinity, and no one has stepped forward to claim them.

Anna Travis is assigned to the case. Her blood runs cold when she receives a letter from a lifer - someone she was responsible for arresting in the past - who writes to her from prison, asking her to visit him urgently, for he claims he knows who the killer is....

I wish you had the entire series!

What did you love best about Blind Fury?

The main character, she is very likable.

What did you like best about this story?

There were many twists & turns, I wasn't ever sure who the killer was until the end - kept me guessing. The character dialog has a very believable flow to it, the author's description of the feelings Ken & Anna have for each other was lovely.

Have you listened to any of Kim Hicks’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, she's a terrific narrator.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not sure...

Any additional comments?

Please get the entire Anna Travis series, I'm hooked. Its awesome to be able to listen to a great book while working or driving!

I found this book to be very captivating. I enjoyed how the plot proceeded. I was never sure of who the killer actually was until near the end of the novel.

More Please!

I want more Anna Travis stories! That should tell you that this one was a great start to what must be a series. It is fun to read stories with women detectives showing their stuff and Anna has great "stuff!" The interesting thing about this in depth police procedural is that you pretty much know where the outcome is headed, but listeners are privy to the behind the scenes brainstorming and inquiries that get the results -- of course mostly due to Anna's superior detective skills. The story has a significant personal story line in it and that creates great characters if depth and interest. I liked it a lot and found it engaging all the way through.

Good story telling! I enjoyed it! I did not think it would end as it did though. Will get more of her books.
