Best cozy series EVER!!

Clare Cosi and all the crew at New York's legendary Village Coffeehouse are back in the latest adventures in this series. Finally out in Audible, which is my guilty pleasure for this favorite cozy series of mine .

A young billionaire Internet genius, Eric, has been making daily visits to Clare's coffeehouse, drilling all her baristas on differing coffee drinks. Clare suspects he's planning to filch her best ones, but before she can question him about this, a car bomb explodes outside of the shop, killing his driver and injuring people in the coffeehouse. Injured Eric was aided by Clare, and now he seems bent on giving her present upon present. Clare gets involved with the bomb squad to investigate who wants to kill Eric.

As always, this coffeehouse mystery if full of coffee facts, and compellingly interesting information on the subjects of this mystery--bomb squad of New York, billionaire's lifestyles, foodie events, and internet apt development. The best part is that all this information is integral to the mystery and adds so much to the fun of these books. The Audible narrator is excellent, accents and all. Of corse , we also delve more into Clare's love life with her New York cop, and Clare's daughter and ex husband's adventures too . Love love love this series. Recommend it to all cozy lovers whether your a coffee fan or not!!

Gets better and better

What made the experience of listening to Billionaire Blend the most enjoyable?

Strong storyline, very interesting characters, well-drawn and continuing growth and development of the series. One of the best series. More than 'cosy', which sometimes means a lot of implausibility, which this series avoids. #13 is excellent. I hope #14 is in the works.

Stop with the dream sequences, already!

I really really really enjoy this series. Really. I enjoy the coffee lore. I enjoy the quirky characters. The plots are pretty fanciful, usually not too predictable, The narrator is outstanding.

I would normally give this book the four stars I've given other volumes in the series, but the dream/nightmare sequence near the beginning was just one too many - and it went on forever. Do we have to have one of these scenes in every book? Boring.

And another thing: these are two reasonably intelligent adults. You'd think they'd have figured out by now that they need to call and let each other know their travel plans so they don't try to kill each other because they.think someone is breaking in. Another stale plot device. Stop it.

Another great cozy from the duo authors

The characters just keep evovling. it's awesome so many series start out great but then characters and stories stagnate. not the village blend family! move over Joanne Fluke who I love but she has given.

Best book in the series yet!

The narrator of this series is awesome. Her voice changes with each character so well that you think you are watching a show rather than listening to a book. The series itself is now my favorite, can't wait to hear the next one. Thanks Cleo Coyle!!!

How does a fairy tale and coffee go together?

It’s “Fairy Tale Week” and whimsical with a Sleeping Beauty playing a staring role, magic beans, and a coffee truck make-over to simulate "Jack and the Beanstalk". You would think by the 14th book of this cozy mystery series that Cleo Coyle would have run out of new and interesting ideas but here she comes again...

This time she includes Russian spies, espionage, a decades old CIA cold case, and a secret dating club, while our heroine, Clare, is dealing with a decision involving a long distance relationship with her boyfriend/detective, Mike Quinn.

Will Clare solve the crime and clear the name of her ex-husband and business partner, Matteo Allegro, who is the prime suspect?

The best fairy tales manage to delight and enchant and this one does both. Yet, how does coffee remain an integral part of the story? Read the book to see. You WILL enjoy it.

Perfect Escape

I stumbled into this series when Audible was running a 4.95 sale and I couldn't be more pleased. The story lines are great, the narrator does a fantastic job, and I finished yet another book in record time.
