Nominated, Gumshoe Award, 2008

A decade postmilitary, Jack Reacher has an ATM card and the clothes on his back—no phone, no ties, and no address. But now a woman from his old unit has done the impossible. From Chicago, Frances Neagley finds Reacher using a signal only the eight members of their elite team of army investigators would know. She tells him a terrifying story about the brutal death of a man they both served with. Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of his old team, scrambling to raise the living, bury the dead, and connect the dots in a mystery that is growing darker by the day.

In a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, they'd better be ready for what comes right back at them.

another great story by Lee Child

Would you consider the audio edition of Bad Luck and Trouble to be better than the print version?

Reliable Reacher story. If you like them this one will not disappoint you.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

Just enough drama and well read.

Good book

Good story, but not as good as many of the Reacher series. Some serious logic flaws - characters not paying attention to obvious details. Great narration except too quiet in many places for listening in the car which is the best place for audio books.

One of the best Reacher adventures. Have listened more than once.

If you like Reacher, you’ll really enjoy this book. Lots of action and you learn about his team from his Army days. Highly recommended.

Best of the Reacher series

In my opinion, this is the best of the Reacher books. I've read, or listened, to them all and will for as long as Mr. Child writes them. He hasn't topped this one yet - again, my opinion.

Clean Language; Thrilling Tale

This novel if extremely detailed. I enjoyed the Matrix-like scenes that only lasted a few seconds in reality. The attention to detail, however, could make it seem extra long, but that can be easily fixed by adjusting the narration speed. If you're using a bluetooth headset as I was, and are a marathon listener like I am, I suggest that you have an extra one already charged. My Plantronics gives me 7hrs of listening time, so I was glad that I had two, plus a waterproof bluetooth speaker...

I really appreciate the clean Language. Thanks to the author for showing that you can have a good suspenseful, thrilling, exciting story, that includes death, and deceit, without the use of foul language and explicit sexual scenes.

I love the narrator's narration. He has the perfect voice for Reacher. However, he didn't do so well with differentiating all the female voices, but it wasn't the worst - he tried. He made up for it with the way he did the personalities, so I would listen to other novels read my him.

Great story

This is a great Jack Reacher book. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat.

The audio of this book was weak. I hade keep adjusting the volume of my device to be able to hear the different voices.

Great Listen/Great Story

I am a huge Jack Reacher fan. I like that he takes the bad guys out, and he does it in such a way that they pay for the things they have done. Fiction, of course, because this seems to rarely happen in real life - at least to the people who deserve it. The best thing about this story is being able to "meet" his former Special Investigative MP Squad. What a group! All very talented, all very human - and what a family!! You can tell that these soldiers really care about each other and they really want to make things right - which they do! The sad thing is that 4 of their squad end up dead in a weapons for money scheme - and the remaining 4 tread the line between success and failure. And it is a narrow line, which they navigate successfully. As usual, I would recommend any of the Reacher books! They are all well written, well performed, and great entertainment!!

slowwwww burn

The first 70% of this book contains exciting scenes like "Reacher gets his shoes shined" (oohhhh, ahhhh) and "Reacher buys a shirt!" (wow!)

Decent finish.
