Very, very disappointing!

Against All Enemies is the 7th and most recent novel in the Jonathan Grave series of espionage thrillers. The two prior novels in the series, High Treason and End Game, were excellent but not outstanding. The storyline of Against All Enemies has real potential, but Gilstrap disappoints in developing the story.

Basil Sands is a decent narrator, but not one of the best. His narration is excellent.

Fell short of expectation.

I loved the other books in this series, but this story line was off. It started well with Boomer but took a turn that was less than exciting.

Basil narrates an entire cast of characters

Gilstrap writes a compelling story. A Writer who knows what he is saying, writes without those back to reality " what did he say" sections. a fast enjoyable listen .

Then Basils narration matches the author in depth of knowledge....highly recommend.

Good book

Good, not great book. Would recommend to anyone who likes those books regarding super ex-military groups.

Accurately portrays current environment

Well written and realistic. Agree regarding Jolene. Box is my fav and several times his response made me laugh aloud. Scott”s narration makes the book. Can’t wait to listen to next book.

My least favorite in the series

I typically like this series; however in this installment Gilstrap failed to make his characters, especially Jonathan, engaging and likeable. This book can easily be skipped and you wouldn't miss much as far as the series goes. If you are a diehard fan of the series, pick it up when it goes on sale. I honestly felt it was a waste of a credit.

Good Listen

It wasn’t my favorite from the series, but it was entertaining enough to finish the book.

Better & Better

Each book in the series has gotten better and better. The writing, the story, and the performance. They're very compelling listens and you can't help but pre-order the next book before you finish the current one.
