Publisher's summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor delivers his most frightening and pulse-pounding thriller ever!

After a CIA agent mysteriously dies overseas, his top asset surfaces with a startling and terrifying claim. There’s just one problem - no one knows if she can be trusted.

But when six exchange students go missing, two airplane passengers trade places, and one political-asylum seeker is arrested, a deadly chain of events is set in motion.

With the United States facing an imminent and devastating attack, America's new president must turn to covert counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath to help carry out two of the most dangerous operations in the country’s history.

Code-named "Gold Dust" and "Blackbird", they are shrouded in absolute secrecy as either of them, if discovered, will constitute an act of war.

Classic Brad Thor.

Detailed and consistent drama. Brad Thor never fails to deliver. Intense at times but never over the top. Respect his research and his ability to keep reader involved. Armand Schultz does his usual A+ narration.

A WAKE UP CALL!

A friend of mine in Canada loaned me a Braf Thor book to read on my flight home. I was impressed and hooked. Having just completed this most recent book I now have read all of Brad Thor's books. Looking forward to his next installment. The story is excellent. The narration is excellent. The wake up call is that Brad Thor does his research. In his story line the opinions of his characters toward US policies about Immigration and Border Control security and treatment of terrorist and political correctness are clearly stated. The storyline about the type of threats that this country's enemies represent is a wake up call. I realize it's just a story but it's a well researched one. The policies and procedures spoken about here and their failures are frightening. Extremely entertaining and eye opening food for thought. Well worth your time.

Top notch, complex, and suspenseful!

Top notch, complex, and suspenseful! Enjoyed it immensely. Brad Thor is our generation's Clancy, Ludlum, Fleming. Love that I don't have to fast-forward past needless multiple one-nighters with barely-legals in his novels. Why did every 70's secret agent have to be a male ho? Hat off to Mr. Thor again for his Mr. Harvath, an unflinching, fleshed-out, believable, and unapologetically patriotic and non-PC ultra-protagonist!!!
