Exceeds expectations!

Every trilogy gets better. The Byzantine plots intertwine in a manner that blows my mind. I constantly reread with new details. There is romance, political intrigue, action, snark, and tragedy. Tropes that can easily be overdone and redundant are reinvented and done to perfection.

Continuation of the harmless little plan trilogy.

I love where this picked up right after the Harmless series to see what happens to Lindsey ‘s friend . Jane ...excellent start to another intriguing tale of deceit, surprises and shocking discoveries

I loved it....suspense and more suspense 💓💞 can't wait to start book 2 ...I hope it's just as good and I'm sure it will b ❤....I'm getting ready to find out 😃

This is a spin off of the Harless Series.

After helping to save her friend, and Senators daughter Lindsay Bosworth, the tables have turned for Jane. Her mother is dead, and she has no friends to turn to, and in the pole of social media she is being slaughtered. Jane knows she's done nothing wrong, but the powers that set up Lindsay to make her look guilty, have now turned their sights on Jane.

Jane has been assigned her own moody body guard Silas Gentian 24/7 and it's become a blessing and a curse each time Jane is faced with the court of public opinion. Warning this book has a cliff hanger, but I can't wait to start book 2!

Virginia Rose does a fantastic job providing attitude and anger into all the characters interwoven in this political drama.

A bit slow

The story is good but moves very slow. I’m going onto the next book hoping it will pick up.

Caution... Cliffhanger

Let me start out this review with a bit of a warning. Things are not resolved in this book. If you do not like cliffhangers and do not want to invest the time and energy into reading Books 2 & 3 of this series, walk away. Walk away before you get hooked into this fascinating story with heart-stopping characters, mystery, suspense and intrigue. Another note I want to add is that I think it might be better if you start with the Harmless series before starting this one. I had a bit of trouble filling in the blanks that probably would have flowed naturally had I read that series first.

With all of that being said, let me tell you that I had a hard time putting this book down. When I simply HAD to put it down, I got the Audible copy and listened to that. The narrator was amazing! The relationship between Silas and Jane was deep and heart wrenching, and at times a bit humorous, especially when they went to visit Alice. What a hoot she was!

There was a bombshell dropped at the very end. Half of it I expected but the other half totally threw me!

Awesome

I hate Monica , and always thought she was a gold digging social climbing skcank. Now the lies are unraveling and she has to work hard to keep her nose in the air.

Another wild ride

Jane's story picks up 6 months after the end of Lindsay's story and she is now persona non grata. The first book in this trilogy broke my heart and made me want to wrap Jane in the biggest hug. That ending was a shocker and I'm diving right into book 2!!
